Great, Heavy Sigh

If you'll pardon a great, heavy sigh.... The yard and pool were looking good again yesterday by noon, or so.

At three o'clock, another storm blew in. Here we go again. And, it will be this way for the next 5 or 6 weeks. Of course, the barometer fluctuates wildly through this and makes me physically miserable on top of the aggravation of cleaning up from the raging winds.

Add in the anxiety of Idiot-in-Chief nominating to the SCOTUS vacancy a man who lied during Senate confirmation hearings in 2006. I thought lying to Congress was unlawful. The man should've been removed from the DC Circuit Court, but now he's nominated for SCOTUS? Add the Republicans confirming a man with zero experience to a very important position within the Justice Department....
Yep. It's enough to knock down a boner.
And my wife continues to wonder why I want to move out of the country to a more temperate climate.

Well, back to cleaning. Maybe it'll help relieve some of the anxiety.

I'm surprised I've gotten hard once since that, asshole has been in office. Meanwhile, I truly think the East coast is the luckiest weather wise. Our weather to me is pretty perfect for each season, with no real disasters, with exception to normal heat in summer

Great as ever! Sorry about the storms! We're into winter! Very cold mornings! Hearing has not changed in past year, but new hearing aids needed - rather expensive! Range of Vision test today! So into the city again! Have a restful weekend if you can!

I'm with you bro - let's get our own island and start our own country - we can be the forefathers! : ) I hope you won't have as much damage in the coming weeks and that your clean up will be easy for you. I wish you a wonderful weekend, bro. Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM

I can relate to the anxiety-causing state of our country right now. Take it easy with the cleanup.

The fact that he is a man with zero experience has no importance. He is not asked to be the author of genius innovations, and no matter if they are urgent and necessary. He has only to obey and support Idiot-in-Chief, at the service of the reactionary and backward-oriented forces.

You thought that the interests of the USA would have wanted... Sorry for cutting you off, but you are getting off the subject, the only interesting interests are those of Idiot-in-Chief.

I hope I have been able to reassure you?

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

@ MFP - Well, my friend, you have tried to reassure me and that's what counts, right? :-)

@ mistress - But the winters are so fuckin' cold! My body would be in full seizure the entire time. This is why I've told my wife we can't move to Canada.... Well, c'est la vie. Monsoons it is!

If some people had been willing to admit that 1) bringing the most populous country on Earth into the WTO would have aftershocks even before you get into how 2) said country is quite innovative at finding ways to cheat at trade, such as requiring a joint venture with citizens of said country and surrender all your intellectual property plz thx to sell there, or "randomly selecting" foreign shipments for additional screening and holding them indefinitely or censoring foreign media, and 3) Gary Hart's been preaching "demographic inevitability" since his work on the McGovern campaign, but "socially liberal, fiscally conservative" remains a unicorn, none of this would've happened.

He'll probably be approved too. Blue dogs tend to vote for Republican Supreme Court nominees.
