He changed before we left the office. I went into the locker room and changed and met him out on the floor. After about 90 minutes we call it quits. I headed to the locker room and he said he'd wait for me, that "I'll shower when I get home."
I told him I didn't want my car smelling like a sweaty jockstrap and made him go out to the car for his clothes and go in to shower. I've never seen anyone so nervous. I leaned in asked him what his problem was. "Everyone's gonna be looking at my dick. What if I get a boner?" I said "everyone gets wood in the shower and everyone looks, so what?"
I knew he was packing, but oh my fucking god I've never seen anything so big. And, yeah, he popped a bit of a boner, but nobody said a single thing. Well, he pouted the whole way home and now he says he won't go unless he doesn't have to go into the locker room. How can I convince him he has nothing to worry about?"
Guys who are hung like him no doubt got teased to death in school. So, of course he'd be nervous about being in a locker room again. I hope you understand that and show the dude a little sympathy.
That said, I don't blame you for requiring him to shower before climbing into your car. Sweat has a penchant for permeating everything - particularly ass-crack and ball sweat. After a while it can be overpowering.
While a boner doesn't happen with every shower, it is fairly common. Semi-hard-on's typically abound. Adults understand this. You could certainly point out that no one made any comments.
As far as the size of his genitals? Once he's gone a few times and realizes he's not among a bunch of sadistic teens, he's among adults who, granted, are going to look but most likely won't say anything, it will get easier.
Any suggestions, Readers?

Hi-dee-ho, bro! Good to back with you. I missed you. The guy does have a challenge within himself - Not sure how he can overcome the fear of embarrassment - The only thing I can think of is for him to just make a point of taking the shower in front of others - he really needs to get over caring what others think. I've had to work through that myself in other areas of my life. I hope he is able to free himself. Have a super duper bonerific day! Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM
Actually, it seems that the guy is more worried about "seeing" that "being seen. Maybe he's more interested in seeing cocks and getting excited. Most hung men are proud to show off and most men like to look. I suggest he continue to shower at the gym and work on his feelings and reactions. If he pops a boner, just turn off the hot water or proudly strut through the locker room.
I have nothing to add; your advice is always spot-on.
was he worried because he has a big dick? he should be proud of this!!!
Hope you had a good weekend. I think that some guys delight in letting others see the size of their cocks! As I keep saying "An erect penis is a thing of great beauty and mystery"! Be proud of what nature has given you! Our coldest morning yet here with more forecast!
The only question of your reader being "How can I convince him he has nothing to worry about?",I think that the only satisfying answer is this truism "by making him realize by himself that he has no valid reason to worry about". That will be more efficient than any speech.
Love, hugs and bisous my darlings Jean and Pat.
Every time he goes back it’ll get easier. Just reinforce the fact that you’re all adults. If that’s all he’s got to worry about then he’s going to be in good shape. Hugs and bisous.
Is he in his 20's? Occasionally guys at the gay nude swimming hole I go to are wearing trunks. Usually young guys, who still get lots of spontaneous erections - lucky guys! I figure they don't want to send the message that they are turned on and open to sexual touching from just anyone. Once they understand the culture of the place - no sex on the beach but an occasional hardon is OK - the trunks come off.
The 'big' guy's buddy might mention that he should be proud of having more than the other guys-- and that any teasing comments are based on jealousy, not derision!--Paul
I bet he would be envied!
It's Interesting and sad how many people have body issues because of what others have said or done in their presence. I hope the guy can come to understand he is the way God and nature made him and he is awesome, huge cock and all. I agree that with a few showers hopefully he can get a little more comfortable in his own skin. I must say though that I have never thought about a guy with a large cock being embarrassed to show it. Thank you for another interesting column.
See? This is why I've tried to teach my sons to be proud of what they've got. Sorry, but if he's forced to shower each time at the gym, perhaps he'll finally figure out he's got nothing to be ashamed about, boner and all. - Dad
@Fullmoonma: Yeah, a lot of younger guys, it's not the nudity per se, or even body image issues, but the possibility of sex (and by extension rape) or just paying to be naked.
I bring up the latter when the issue of nudism and millennials and Zers comes up because people forget (or deny, Hillary supporters) how dystopian the economy is now: Bachelor's degree and ten years' experience required for a $10-12 an hour job. Some jobs don't even pay at the entry level, saying if you want to get anywhere, you have to work for free. (Jesus, and they wonder why they can't find anyone...) Obviously less relevant at the gym, though.
Should be noted that millennials generally have little issue just hanging out naked. I've even known guys (with their own home and a privacy fence) who hosted a naked barbecue. Gen Z goes even farther, sleeping together (literally) naked and naked embraces. In the 90s, my friends and I jerked off and wrestled together naked, but never a hug. (I always imagined helping the loser up at the end, embracing so our dicks touched, but even as we rubbed dicks, we never hugged.) In the 90s, it was still a valid defense to kill a guy because he came into you, if you were a guy, so I think we were ahead of the curve.
