Protect Yourself

It's Summer in the Northern Hemisphere. That means lots of outdoor activities. And it means the Tour de France. Today is Stage 5 (of 21). It's rough and sometimes cutthroat competition. Endurance is key to success. That's a lot of time on a bicycle.

I don't know about these cyclists, or the professional ones. I don't know if anyone has ever inquired, but I hope they are all using a proper seat. Yes, there is a proper seat!

These are specifically designed to prevent crushing of the perineum - saving the major bundle of arteries and nerves which run through it. This, of course, can prevent Erectile Dysfunction (ED). According to Healthline:

"Over the last few decades, researchers have discovered that some male cyclists develop damage to the pudenal nerve, the main nerve in the perineum, and the pudenal artery, which sends blood to the penis.

Men who spend a lot of hours on a bike have reported numbness and trouble acheiving an erection. Experts believe ED starts when arteries and nerves get caught between the narrow bicycle seat and the rider's pubic bone."

If you are a man who enjoys riding, regardless of the amount of time you spend on one, you should use a proper seat.

Particularly if you spend most of your day sitting in an office.
Because, let's be frank about this: Office chairs are bad for boners, too.

Which is another good reason to get up and walk away from the computer for a few minutes - every hour. Not only does it rest your eyes, it gives your cock an opportunity to breathe again.
One suggestion to help stave off ED after a long day at the office - or a long bike ride - is a gentle massage in the area when you get home.

Don't take chances. Protect yourself.

Very good advice- I have to keep reminding myself to walk away from the computer at times. I hope all is well with you and yours and that the clean up is coming along. Wish I could be there to help. Have a super bonerific day, bro. Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM

You are right, endurance was key to success in the Tour de France, when it was not yet the doping. Anyway, I am unable to be interested by a race where the respective positions of the opponents such as we see them when they are racing is not the same as in their ranking.

Today, England and Croatia play the second semi-final of the soccer world championship, competing to determine which one, next Sunday, will be our opponent in the final match for the world champion title.

Love, hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

Full of wisdom as always! Great photos too! I knew that you'd want the door handles! They are so bright and shiny that the could be reproductions or they may have been well cared for. I saw some on the doors of a church recently that really need a good clean and polish! Pity! Another cold morning here, but the sun is shining!

It's the same with clothes. One accident has you putting your entire body weight on your perineum.

I first learned about it when I was 9, in of all places a punk magazine. So in between a review of Mortal Kombat and a Glen Danzig interview, oh, biking can kill your dick if you have an accident.
