What's Your Take?

Trans people appear to be the new group targeted for discrimination. Now, I've been to concerts and sports events, gone to a men's room so packed that guys shared urinals and had women come in. It's never really bothered me; Lord knows they are not there to ogle cocks.

I thought the LGBTQ community would be the most open and accepting. Yet, a trans man was booted out of a men's day spa for not having a penis. He had an ID specifying Sex: M. But management received complaints and booted him out.
The truth of the matter is, most trans men do not go through the genital reassignment surgery because it simply hasn't been perfected. Surgeons keep working on the issue of trying to shape a "natural appearing" penis from the clitoris. Until that happens, we've got to learn to accept those transitioning to male without judgement.

The best response I saw: Like it or not, the times are changing. They are ALWAYS changing. Not many decades ago, Blacks weren’t welcomed into white golf courses, gays weren’t welcome to teach in schools, and women weren’t welcome to vote in important matters."
Now, I've never been to a day spa (gay or otherwise) and had someone without breasts but with a vagina come in. I don't think it would bother me at all.

But, then again, I'm not concerned at all when it comes to nudity.

What's your take?
Would it bother you to have a trans person in there with you?

I am not sexually attracted by trans, but I think that they must be respected both as human beings and as American citizen. I hope that both him and the LGBTQ will lodge a complaint and that the management of the men's day spa will heavily be condemned. In the ideal, as well as those who complains with the management. Unless the fact of being stupid and ignorant can be considered as an excuse.

Have a wondrous weekend, my dear friends Jean and Pat.

Here in Philly and New York, the club scene found men women and everything in between in the restrooms and didn't bother anybody. Course we were all drunk. Maybe we all need to be drunk 24/7 to move on and get over this. Me personally, I dont care who has what or not there between their legs.

It wouldn’t bother me. Nope. He identifies as male and even tho the plumbing may not be the’right’ one, I wouldn’t care. To each their own, right? Some men really need to get over themselves.

It’s only becomes an issue when there are young children in the equation. Probably because the adults don’t want to have to do all the explaining when asked "why" a dozen times. Of course, most often they don’t even notice.
Happy weekend. Hugs and bisous dear French Patrick. Shame we don’t vote on Sundays like you all do. We have no early voting in Virginia, only Absentee Voting.

While I have never experienced that in real life, I think I would be fine with a trans person in the locker room. Being a nudist, I accept and celebrate all body types. I think it is great when people are comfortable in their own skin.

Hi. I have been sleeping naked for 2 months now and it is probably the best thing i have dobe. But what irritates me is if i masturbate before bed, i can’t sleep naked. I feel ashamed and like a loser or something? And also that i have somehow wasted energy.

Why should whatever is between your legs matter in the first place? One specific part doesnt make you human. Man/Woman is not gender; its something that is obtained. You may have a dick between your legs but that doesnt make you a man. We all know plenty of males out there well in their adult years and still act like an absolute 2year old.

Male/Female is gender. When you fill out paperwork it always ask for male/female and never boy/girl/man/woman.

It may come from how we were raised when we were little (mostly gender neutral) but gender has never really been an issue within the family. We did have a trans person that we knew when we were little so we thought it was normal. Sometimes your not born with the right bits. It happens.

1992. There were still white-only country clubs in 1992. I remember the irony of 2016, Clinton people telling me racism was the vice of lower classes when her husband belonged to one such country club when he ran for president.

I'd like to think it wouldn't make a difference if a transman showed up at the gay swimming hole I frequent, but how do you tell if the person without a penis is trans, gay, bi, or just curious without asking too personal questions that are themselves inappropriate or offensive? It's pretty clear we don't like curiosity seekers in our sanctuary. I've never seen a person without a penis there although I've seen some at the next "mixed" swimming hole downstream. A few persons wear bathing suits you don't always get to check out genitals. And it seems to be male nature to check out genitals!

I don't *think* it would bother me.

If they were discreet about it, like most guys are, I would never know if they actually have a penis or not. Stories about adventures in the men's room are fun, but honestly 99.7% of the time you never actually see anything, just a guy standing against the wall or a pair of shoes under the partition. For all I know, I've already shared a men's room with a transman.

I would absolutely feel weird being in a naked environment with anyone who didn't have a penis, though, whether it was an "actual" woman or a transman who hadn't had the surgery. Maybe I could get used to it, I don't know. People talk about the "male energy" being the same, but I'd have to experience it for myself before deciding.

Well, that's how it is. Not long ago, it was PC to pretend male bisexuality didn't exist.

Anyway, while I'm not attracted to trans people (yeah, even though I'm bi, go figure*), it makes no difference in the men's room. I've already seen women there, and frankly, the men's room in general is about as erotic as the smell of three or four dudes shitting while another dozen piss.

*I'm more attracted to women, but my porn is going to be limited to men for November. Fun fact: I'm also not attracted to anal penetration, opting more (at least with men) for circle jerks, frot, docking, and the like, or just hanging out in the buff, so my interest is heavily gendered as it is.

When I see a trans person (ftm) I always automatically think of them as male, just nature screwed up a little but he still feels male to me so no it wouldn't bother me. I find myself attracted to many of them as well.
