No Access

Spent the entire day without internet, waiting for an area outage to be repaired. What was there to do, once the chores were finished?

What do you do when you have no internet?

I'm very much beside myself.

I still have my phone, my radio, and my TV, which I can connect to an antenna.

I guess growing up in South Dakota taught me habits. Also why I still have a land line, in case of blackouts.

Good job finding other things to do. I would follow your plan. Sucks (not the good kind) when Internet goes down. Wishing you all the very best, my Dear Friend. Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM

We have not a lot of choice.
If it doesn't last too long, let's say no more than a day, we have to take your pain patiently.
If it lasts longer, we should ask our ISP if we should look for a new ISP.
A new one, in the same way that you are looking for a new president from far longer than one day.

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

Complain a lot about having no internet. And then I go garden. Or take a walk. Or a bike ride. Or clean. Or play piano. It's all good.

My TV streams over the internet, so no internet means no TV either. I read or do some chores around the house or yard.

Read, use cell phone. (The cell phone being a poor substitute). Watch the convention . Hugs and bisous.

Ohh I like that pic of the guy in the pool!
And when I don't have internet I listen to music, read or go to the garden.
Last year we had an outage at night and I lighted every single candle I could find. When the power came back on, I still kept the lights off. I liked all those candles...

XOXO

@ Anon - I still have a landline, too!

@ Jean - Been watching. Well, missed the first hour of last evening due to a meeting. But, in all reality? I don't need to watch the Dem or the Rep conventions - I'm voting Blue all the way down the ticket; even if it's a slice of soggy bread listed there! Hugs and bisous!

@ Six - Well, count me in on that scenario! xoxo

Bryn spends so much time on the computer at work. He often declares "Freedom from F.R.E.D." (Fucking Ridiculous Electronic Devices). We may watch a movie but we usually play cards, cook together, go hiking, canoing/kayaking, swimming, get busy on a project, do chores together, read and of course we chase each other around the house. The internet is a part of life...just a part.

@ Bruce - You guys are such an inspiration. Truly. Thank you for stopping by and joining the conversations here. And, tell Bryn I love the acronym!
