Why is telling a kid about a wet dream and the natural operation of his sexual body so different from explaining urination and defecation?
By preparing youngsters with knowledge about normal functions (before they happen, if at all possible) we not only reduce anxiety, but also help ensure every individual reaches their potential and pick up any aberrations early, instead of falling through the cracks.
As a society, we need to become more proactive and less reactive about many things.

Just explain at puberty the testicles start producing sperms and the prostate starts producing that white sticky stuff, and keeps on doing that all the time.
