Workout / Exercise Boner Explained

 

Yes, of course, we know there are guys at the gym who are purposely making their cocks hard. They're trolling for some fun.

But, we've been looking for a legitimate answer to the legitimate issue of the "workout boner" we've (most likely) all seen at one time or another.


And he also explains why the exact opposite might happen.

Reader T explains the physiological process of the workout, r exercise, boner. Which, as a lot of men (and women) attest, is very common, indeed.

"Its the increased testosterone production from gym. It happens naturally once your muscles are under stress (both male and female). Muscles need testosterone for normal function and repair as well as protein. For an erection your body needs to be producing testosterone. Thats why you will see guys fluffed up a bit or fully erect. Their bodies have produced enough of it for them to get erect. Where the anabolic window comes in is for the recovery stage of muscle training. Getting the body into recovery as fast as possible is the goal so the muscles begin repairing at their enlarged state and not their relaxed state. You will see them taking protein supplement immediately after gym for that stuff to be at its most effective for what they need. Throw in jerking off as well and its an extra boost of testosterone for the body. Once finished all that testosterone and protein the body has produced will go to the muscles. Its also free. You do see results from it. Muscle gains are more noticeable from earlier on. Body doesnt ache as much or none at all the next day either. Shrinkage would be something else. If you are feeling intimidated in that environment your body could be shifting over to 'fight or flight' mode without you realizing what is going on. If its gone for flight your body goes into preservation and minimize any potential damage it may receive. For guys your genitals will retract so they dont get damaged. Body will also start producing more cortisol (the preservation side) which has flow on effects to other areas of the body. Too much cortisol and you gain weight easily as the body shifts to storing whatever you put in it instead of processing it. Cortisol feeds on hormones too (for girls less frequent periods and guys harder to get erect). Wrecks your metabolism and does a number on you mentally. Testosterone supplements should only be a last resort and only under medical advice from a doctor. Your body can naturally produce it very easily. I would look more at what is happening mentally before and during a workout and work through the feelings. Try meditating to keep a calmer state of mind for 10mins before gym and even work in pilates and yoga to your warm-ups before doing any weights. The brain is just as important as everything else. If the brain is not right nothing else will be."




So, the next time you see a guy at the gym with a semi or a full-on boner - or get one yourself - you'll understand why.

This fact I did know, but eventually put it together for myself. I also put two and two together, when I work out or exercise I also noticed I tend to get hornier. I figured that was from the testosterones increasing. Even jogging I notice I tend to hard semi hard.

Back when I used to be able to go to the gym (closed, due to covid), I would only have that issue when truly 'inspired' by someone else. :)

I have a problem and don't know who to go to. I'm only 14 and my nuts and dick are already twiceas big as the other guys in the locker room and they call me bull balls and donkey dick Even my shorts don't fit me in there Are they going to keep growing or what I can't talk to my mom it would embarras us Coach offered but then mom will know anyways Please tell me what to do

It makes sense that the increased testosterone would make a guy get some wood. I don't go to the gym that often, but I know that most men who work out seem to be very perceptive after exercising. Points for them.

I do have one thing to say about locker room erections. I take a simple rule: Erections are fine, but don't stroke in public without everyone's permission. The latter is a conscious act, after all.

I love your blog!!! On this topic, you can also refer to real orgasm men, especially teens and young men, may experience while working out. I remember myself being forced during to clim 5meters high ropes when at highschool. And everytime I was ejaculating reaching the top of the rope....so embarrasing. I also had few orgasms raising my legs while having tractions on a bar. Did anyone else experienced the same?

Tell @ Anon, 12/7, 4:47 that although he may have been blessed with more manhood than his buddies, that may only be until they catch up with him. He's 14-- how old are his buddies?

Is he getting partially aroused in the locker room that makes him look bigger?

And if his blessings really are as big as he thinks they are, any comments from his buddies are really based in jealousy and envy! Our society has made having smaller equipment than everyone else the butt of thousands of jokes.

There are no practical medical interventions that can change how his body grows. He should have himself checked out with his doctor, and if everything is medically OK, he'll just have to get used to being the center of attention. Grin and bare it! (;

@ Paul - I think you're correct. He's just an early starter. But if he continues to develop it still shouldn't cause such anguish, should it? I have to find a way to convince him that it's OK to say something to his mom - - or find some adult male he feels he can trust.

I've been to many gyms with college age guys and never seen any of those guys with full erections while they lift or work out. I don't know who "reader T" is, but I'd like to see the evidence besides some of these pics which are most certainly a prank or staged photo or something from a porno. In pornos I hear they have fluffers and often the performers are using caverject or trimix type injections.

@ Anon, 12-9, 5:54 - I've seen it plenty of times. In the locker rooms at the gym, guys on the stationary bikes, during yoga classes I've attended... I can promise you, it's not a prank. One only needs to Google the term: "exercise boner" to find many forums where the question is asked about this phenomenon.
