Some of you are probably too young to remember the mirror craze of the 70s. It was thought quite the kink to put mirrors above the bed, but plenty of people did. When that seemed a bit too obvious for some folks, the mirrored closet doors came into vogue. Of course, the designers excuse was "it made the rooms seem larger," and the kink of watching yourself during sex was just a perk.
Today, with the proliferation of selfies in front of mirrors, it seems the craze is making a comeback.
And some guys are taking it a step further and watching themselves jack off as evidenced by an email I received after a guy visited his brother and saw a mirror all splattered and streaked and wanted to know if that meant his brother is a narcissist.
Is it narcissistic?
Maybe a little. As long as this dude isn't "all about himself 100% of the time," I'd say it's just a pretty harmless kink.
Let him enjoy himself.

You're in luck if that's your only question. What's the saying, everyone is normal until you get to know them. Count your blessings. Hugs and bisous.
I used to do that all the time. You know: Love the one you're with.
Our headboard is a mirror and the dresser at the foot of the bed has a large mirror. The bed is high so we get perfect reflective views of what it going on. There are two mirrors on the closet doors and both windows have floor length mirrors blocking out the light, views from all directions. With Christmas lights on the mirror headboard and lights on the dresser mirror it is magical to enjoy viewing each other this way. A lot of times the mirrors are forgotten.
Great set, and no it’s (imho) not narcissistic, as I understand that to be a relational term. A true narcissist wants everyone else to stop what they are doing to notice them, to be the center if attention.
On another note #16 is the great and wonderful (again imho) Quinn Christopher Jaxon.
Thanks.
Paul
Ha!
Never thought about that. I have never really looked in the mirror when doing the nasty. Now I'm gonna have to rethink that.
XOXO
#2 he's Alex Mecum
#16 (the guy under the question Is it narcissistic?) he's Quinn Jaxon (here on my blog) when he wasn't so over tattooed.
I'd like to clean cum covered mirrors with my tongue.
I wouldn't call it kink since it's pretty universal! I used to have a huge mirror in my studio right above my massage altar and I've got many selfies as a result. And there's been a mirrored wall in my shower for the last 50 years!
Always a day late... of course it's narcissistic - that's what our society has become. How else do you explain no-talents like the KarCrashians? As for mirrors. Remember mirror tiles and coffee tables and bars... it just was everywhere. People were nuts about expanding the size of their spaces via optical illusion. I have no issue with mirrors, as apparently they make a nice target for the money shot. And I do love a hot eruption. Kizzes.
Is it narcisistic to want to share sexuality with another person, even when that other person has to be yourself in this age of relationship difficulties?
@ Upton - You're right. I forgot about all those mirrored items. It sure was all the rage.
@ Anon - There are so many who have no one but themselves to release their sexual energy with - and I say, go for it.
To me, masturbating in front of a mirror brings back memories from my teens, a time when porn was not easily available so the mirror would spice up the action in a comfy way. Since then the imagination, which fortunately I do not lack of, plus the plentiful amount of online porn that now available have made the 'me time' oriented towards fantasizing upon the plethora of men exhibiting their glory all over the Internet.
So I'd say that if nowadays a person enjoys pleasuring themselves in front of a mirror on a regular basis then yes that could be (one of) their kink(s). Otherwise it simply is one way among others to fuel the arousing, isn't it?
