Cock Sensitivity

Faithful Reader, Jean, sent an interesting article from the Huffington Post. No matter why it was done (medical necessity, which is rare but does happen, religious belief, which is common among Jewish and Islamic peoples, or at birth because the parents decided it should be, which is the most common reason in the U.S.) is not our issue here. We are not debating those.

What we are talking about is sensitivity of the cut cock. Yes, the removal of the foreskin does reduce the sensitivity of the glans. Like any other exposed skin the head of the penis can develop callous; a thickening of the skin due to the constant rubbing against material.
3
The foreskin not only protects the head of the cock, it helps to keep it moist and the skin soft. For Straight dudes, it helps to collect pre-cum during foreplay enabling easier penetration, aided by the natural lubrication of the vagina, removing (or reducing) the need for commercial lubricants.

So, for those of us who are cut, we lose those benefits. We lose sensitivity. Many, many men aren't even aware of this loss. But there is something we can do about it. My own physician told me to put 5 or 6 drops of Vitamin E oil on the head and work it into the skin as far down the shaft as what remains of the foreskin (what many mistake as scar tissue). I can verify it has proven results.

Daily use of the oil will cause the callous to slough off over a period of weeks. Then continued use will keep the cock head soft and you'll experience increased sensitivity, and therefore more pleasure, thereby getting more enjoyment out of your cock.

If you're cut, I encourage you to give it a try.
What have you got to lose?

(Read the entire article here: Huff Post on Circumcision. It's quite long, the author has included a lot of science, but it's worth the read.)

Seven valid and compelling reason NOT to Circumcise:
“The foreskin is a normal, sensitive, functional part of the body. In infant boys, the foreskin is attached to the head of the penis (glans), protects it from urine, feces, and irritation, and keeps contaminants from entering the urinary tract. The foreskin also has an important role in sexual pleasure, due to its specialized, erogenous nerve endings and its natural gliding and lubricating functions.”

Did you know that last Saturday, the 23th of April, it was the Quadra-centenary of Shakespeare's death. In the same date as Cervantès, but at 10 day intervals. Is it possible? Yes, because British had not yet adopted the Gregorian calendar, they still used the Julian calendar.

I wish you a wondrous day, mon chéri, with a lot of bisous which have to be shared as you know.

Funny you mentioned this. I have always used a oil or a moisturizer like any other part of my body, cock included. I like to keep the smooth feeling, and like you said, it keeps the cock nice and mosit and smooth. Glad to hear you enjoyed your surprise!!!!!!

Just the kind of extra info men can use. Thanks Pat.

I would quibble about how many medical circumcisions are necessary; most of the time, more conservative interventions are available. (A LOT of cases of phimosis could be treated by just regularly, repeatedly retracting the foreskin and then pulling it forward. Also, you can't really dx phimosis in an infant; watchful waiting is recommended before the teenage years, in fact. Steroid creams are the next level of intervention. Circumcision is supposed to be a last resort.)

Meh, no one talks about the medical benefits of suspending yourself from a tree with hooks. Or any number of other tribal markings.

@ Anon - I think most urologists agree with you. I've read many an article/report which recommends the use of a steroid cream to stretch the foreskin. Sometimes, though, the Phimotic Ring refuses to accept the treatment. Phimosis, at an advanced stage, can strangle the urethra making urination difficult and painful, and can cause some major damage to the penis.

I surely agree about the watchful waiting during the teen years - but how many parents are actually conversing with their teenage sons about anything having to do with their cocks? Typically by the time a guy (finally) admits there's a problem the issue is severe.

@ mistress - Oh, I did! So very much!!

I'm planning to start the vitamin E oil treatment immediately. Thanks so much for the tip. By the way, I'm wondering how long it took before you began to notice the benefits?

I've been using Vitamin E oil every morning for a year and haven't noticed any great gains in sensitivity. To truly regain what was lost you need a foreskin. I've been working to restore mine using various skin stretching techniques. It's impossible to every have a true foreskin due to the specialized parts that were cut off during circumcision, but the restoration process is the next best thing. Check out restoringforeskin.org for a large community of men working towards being whole again.

@ harry - It took about 6 weeks for me to begin noticing a difference. Now, years later, the head of cock is very sensitive. Perhaps that's why I notice those BOEs more often during the day.

@ Anon - Yes, the specialized sensations of the foreskin are forever lost. But that is all the more reason to make sure the skin of the glans stays soft, moist, and supple. In stretching the skin of the shaft, while it own't have the sensitivity of a foreskin, will help keep the head of your cock in proper shape.
