Fire and Blood

We turn our thoughts to the people of Australia who are not only fighting for their property but their very lives.  The entire country is raging with brush fires.
This NASA photo and article is from three days ago.
Our very own longtime Faithful Reader and former fellow blogger, Lord Patrick, whom I have not been able to reach lives in Queensland. May the many Australian readers of this blog know we are with them in the hope the fires will be contained soon and extinguished shortly thereafter.
And, then we must turn our thoughts to the war which many predicted would happen. The men and women of the armed forces are being sent, once again, into harms way in the Middle East. May cooler heads find a way to prevail to prevent the spilling of blood.

Please take a moment from whatever you are doing to spare a thought for them

Wish them godspeed to whichever higher power you place your faith. Send them all positive thought and healing light.

Alas, hot heads could not care less what cold heads can say. They are convinced that they are right and impervious to all arguments other than those of their sycophants. It is much less simple than mixing cold water with hot water to obtain lukewarm water.
What is happening in Australia should convince the most selfish climate sceptics. If not as regards the global warming, at least of the fact that it does not only concern the poor populations of poor countries.
To finish on a more pleasant note, we have passed the winter solstice, and we should have more and more light and heat from day to day. But no need to take out your swimsuit right away, especially if it's for practicing nudism.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

Lord Patrick has several physical problems 5 years ago, and probably he's dead! That's my opinion.
