I do my working out at home and haven't been to a gym in years, but I do know a few guys here that said the gym up the road has tossed guys out for jacking off in the showers...mostly for "sanitary reasons" others and were told to use urinals' for that if they had too.

My own experience--
I was swimming regularly and the YMCA, and felt good enough about myself to start wearing a Speedo. One night, a guy asked if a Speedo made me swim faster. I replied that I like to think so.

Covid-19 should have given us pause to consider re-evaluating many of the current shared facilities to minimise disease transmission in the future. Just as with the debate on gender diversity and public toilets, the issues are often rendered moot by having individual facilities that can preferably be automatically sanitised between occupants.

Back in the 80's, I worked out and taught at a Bally's in E. Providence (they have since closed). The showers were a bit of a maze and VERY cruisy. There was ALWAYS some action that went on in the back shower room and steam room. Caught a lot of guys jerking off together. Back then, guys didn't have a problem strolling nude and lingering around the lockers. Management just sorta looked the other way.
They opened up a Crunch Fitness here in Fall River a couple years ago, the locker room is all open. Times have changed. So much MODESTY! Many reasons why you would find guys jerking off in the change rooms. Apart from it being much easier to get an erection after gym most of them will be doing that to take advantage of the anabolic window to get the muscles into recovery as fast as possible. Jerking off has benefits for that. You will even see a few just tugging away at it but never to ejaculate. That being said the anabolic window is different for every person. It can last upto an hour but its at its peak within the first 10-15mins after gym. Its not always with sexual intent.
