Well, if jacking off is "fully accepted" then there really should not have been any discussion here. Your sons deserve a father who is completely open and honest. The task of fathers talking to their sons about anything having to do with their genitals and sexual activity should be easier than anyone makes it out to be.

The dear reader had me chuckle with her comment!!!! And I love to hear back how the talk goes with the towels! If it helps, I go to Homegoods to get mine. They don't always have them but off and on you can find like a pack of 6 or 8 tied together with a ribbon for like $5.99!!!!! And they wash up just nice.
And there actually quite soft.
And on a side note...it just occurred to me that my friend wanted me to talk to her son about jacking off in socks about two years ago. She was tired of finding them "stiff as boards" under the bed!!!!!!!!!

Where's Dad in all this? He should be taking some initiative instead of leaving everything to Mom. I think the answer is all about the homophobia that still has a deathlike grip on the short and curlies of men everywhere, when the reality is that men sharing sex and sex information is not gay and merely buddies who care about supporting each other. IMO, gay is about an exclusive sexual attraction to men, well beyond the attentions of a mere caring buddy.
What's with white as de-rigour for cumrags? I remember that the dried stains were always difficult to completely remove (who can bother with rinsing during an era of water conservation?) and showed up orange if one used hot water. Deep navy blue is my colour of choice as it shows off the fresh deposits to perfection and doesn't leave visible stain after washing.

The photo of the towels...well, that's just a picture used for demonstration purposes only. You're right, white does collect stains. Then again, if they're specifically for the purpose of clean-up who's going to care? LOL
@ Aunt Maddie did you give the lad the spiel about banana skins and investing in decent lube too (ala Weeds)? You are a special person stepping up to educate the young when a traditional role model is unavailable: many men are too homophobic to share their experiences, tips and tricks and thus short-circuit re-inventing the wheel, progressing civilisation that much faster.
@ whkattk - It wasn't obvious this post was from the Dad who was arguing the toss (pun intended) with Mom over who tells the boys. Perhaps when you are quoting an issue, you need a signature or identifier at the end so we can relate multiple posts to the same individual. There is a similar problem in Anonymous responses as readers can't know which individual anon any anonymous response comes from.
@ whkattk - yes, it doesn't matter if cum rags remain looking stained and some actually get turned on by old unwashed stained rags (although as with the rigid board-like socks under the bed, the rough, hard fabric is not kind on sensitive skin), although if it is Mom who is likely to be saddled with laundry duties, I expect she would like to see them crisp white every time. I still prefer dark colours which hide a multitude of sins, myself.
In this situation I'm not sure all the washing and water use is any more environmentally friendly than using a piece of TP or a tissue. I'd say most guys can clean up with 3 or 4 squares of TP, or even a single tissue. Maybe those "man sized" tissues have another purpose besides noses.
