Literal Definition

Thanks, folks! The consultation went well, I guess; a full explanation of what to expect. His office will be calling to schedule it after insurance approval.

The literal definition may mean "sexual self-pleasure."

BUT

doesn't mean you have to be alone.

In France, there is no need for an insurance approval, it is the doctor who decides and the insurance must be satisfied.

I am very happy that it went well with your doctor, and thank you for this beautiful selection of photos.

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Have a great day.

For your surgery, always special for us, Canadian, to see you're waiting for your «insurance approval» to get it.
Nothing of that here as we have, as you know, universal health care insurance.

When I was diagnose with a cancer tumor in my colon, the surgery was immediately schedule and I never had to pay anything after the surgery and 4 days in the hospital.

@ MFP - I fear we will never reach that point here. Hugs and bisous.

@ JiEL - It's so very bizarre to have to get an insurance company to decide if a medical procedure is needed. I fear the US will never reach your level of care in Canada. We seem to be sliding backward in our health care system to the point it is now politicians deciding.

Yes, it's so sad to see from here how politicians, mostly religious ultra right ones, are making laws that goes against any medical expertise like those on abortion rights.

With «money» ruling like a king or a god in USA, the good of the people is being refered on a second plan.

Here in Province of Québec, we have also for decades, a universal car insurance to have a no fault system and provide coverage for all that isn't «mecanic-steel» when an accident happen.
When it was put in place, many lawyer were almost going bankrupcy because there were no more law suit over car accident.
Also, many insurance companies had to adapt to that new reality too.

When I pay my year car licence, it pays for that part of the insurance.
The other part covering the repairs for my car and other fees are paid with my car insurance from a normal insurance company which is very cheap.

Please continue to keep telling us how you're doing with your procedures, glad yesterday went well and hopefully you'll know what to expect. And hopefully your insurance covers it all!

Happy May. Medical care in the US is a money/profit – making institution.
In most of the rest of the world, it is simply providing medical care to everyone.
We have to ask our insurance company about procedures, they are the ones who decide on the medical care we are going to get in the US, not our doctors. Imagine that. Hugs and bisous.

I blame Obama for keeping the insurance industry and the rest of the parasite class alive.

Yes it is sickening how So many in govt. & insurance wants to decided what to do with our bodies. The U.S. is a real mess in many aspects. On a much lighter note: Happy big M month may we all get to celebrate in some way shape or form. :-)

@ Jean - A money-making institution. Yep. And we can thank the Reagan administration for that. It was his good buddy over at Kaiser Permanente who convinced him that health insurance companies should be allowed to make a profit. Hugs and bisous.

@ JiEL - Gosh, even your vehicle insurance makes more sense than ours! Oh, the lawyers here would positively go on a rampage if something like Canada's policies were proposed here.
