Have you seen the new sitcom Life in Pieces? It's twist is that it's presented in four different very short segments. Each quick piece focuses on a different family member and issue. In last night's episode, a young girl has issues with sleeping alone in her new room, in a new house. She's run the gamut - trying to climb in to bed with her older sisters. She gets booted out, of course. Then she's discovered in her older brother's bed (he's - I'm guessing - 14, maybe 15). He raises a ruckus. Mom comes running.
He: "She can't sleep here." (points to little sister)
Mom: "Oh, honey..."
He: "She can not sleep with me!"
Mom: "Honey, of course she can't. I understand, but it's nothing to be ashamed of."
He: "What are you - "
Mom: "Morning wood is - "
He: "Oh, my God!" (as he runs out of the room)
It does my heart good to have these topics broached - however briefly - like this. It gives a sliver of information that, hopefully, gets more understanding of the normal functioning of the male apparatus. This show is so sharp and funny, I can't wait for a segment on masturbation. Who will stumble upon whom?

It's bound to happen. I mean, come on, it's a sitcom!
