I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Did you celebrate Juneteenth? Today is the "official federal holiday" to mark when the Emancipation news finally reached TX.
And speaking of TX, Steve --- over at All Natural and More --- posted this HuffPost article. Following the anti-gay lead from FL, the Texas GOP released their official platform for the '22 elections. The most frightening part: "the platform supports debunked and dangerous conversion therapy — which it terms “Reintegrative Therapy” — to turn members of the LGBTQ community into heterosexuals and eliminate “unwanted same-sex attraction."
Meanwhile, the white supremacist movement protested and attacked a number of Pride events across the country.

I hope no one was hurt in the attacks on Pride.
At this time there is no such thing as a good republican. When they start acting human than maybe I will reconsider. We need to get out there and vote them out of office. They tried to take the election away, now they are working on our freedoms. I think we should try conversion therapy on some heterosexuals. See how they like it.
I also saw this sad news about Texas on All Natural and More and as a Canadian I was flaberggated that this is still existing in 2022.
As our Canadian government as advised us that visiting USA is very «dangerous» as there are so many mass shootings, now with this Texas anti gay law it's now not a safe place to visit for Canadian LGBTQ people.
Your country is becoming more and more «fucked up» as time goes by.
I have a French friend visiting me since June 6 and he is also discoraged of all what is going on in your country.
No visit for me to see my friends in Delaware.
USA is a too scary country to visit.

Vote. Check and make sure you are actually registered, many Republican states have purged the voter rolls if you have not voted in the last couple of elections, and you could be in for a nasty surprise in November. Just go online to vote.org to check your status. Voter turnout will decide the next election.
Somebody is going to be real unhappy when they find out that their "egg separator" was sent to Goodwill.

@ JiEL - It is a VERY scary country right now, and the Canadian government is wise to warn people about coming here. If I had the wherewithal I'd be moving to a much more safer place. I fear it is only going to get worse after this year's elections.
@ Jean - I'm not very optimistic about the direction the country will go in November. The Dems will come out of the woodwork and the Reps will claim it another stolen election. Hugs and bisous!
