I'm much, much better today. And I truly appreciate all the comments and emails over the last few days.
So, what's been roiling around in my mind is the way our bodies betray us men as we age. Things which we value so highly begin to ... well, slow down. The prostate grows larger causing a blockage of sorts, halting the ability to fully empty the bladder. The result is needing to piss more frequently.

Yes, it's annoying, but there are several meds available to help, one of which assists us in developing better boners.

But the real culprits of our discontent are The Boys

Not only do they manufacture our swimmers, they produce Testosterone. The lovely, lovely chemical which helps us maintain our virility and vitality. The older we get, the less T they produce, robbing us not only of muscle mass, but our energy. We tend to feel sleepy and lethargic - which is why you hear about old men frequently nodding off.

Now, mind you, there's nothing wrong with a good nap at any age

especially if it's preceded by a good ejaculation

The one thing that does assist us in staving those things off is diet and exercise.

Keeping the body in good shape, keeps the parts functioning better for longer. It's a bit of the old "use it or lose it" school of thought. The more often you put the goods to use, the longer they'll serve you.

you're a special member of our bloggers family!
glad to hear you better!
I am very very happy to learn that you get better.
For the rest, even the sun has éclipes.
There is a gymnastics of the perineum to avoid the problems of prostate.
There are blogs such as your, (and, I hope, mine), to stimulate our libidos.
Except for these small details, I must, alas, agree with you. There is an age from which every year which is added to our age is always a heavier burden than the previous one.
Say that it is as in a geometric progression would be excessive. It is rather as in a calculation of compound interests.
The life is a loan agreement, the birth is the signature of the contract, the life corresponds to the duration of the loan and the death is the refund when due.
I wish you a wondrous day, my darling chéri, with a lot of bisous that I give you (and don't loan to you).
How true! At 81, I can agree with all you write! Had a long session with my doctor yesterday. Nothing seriously wrong, just slowing down! I will be resigning from a couple of positions that I hold at the end of the year, making room for someone younger. So pleased you are feeling better. Hugs, Patrick

So glad that you're feeling better! Great post as well!
I was doing the #10 just tonight with the flesh jack!!!!
Good you're feeling better. Given my experience, I can't help but believe that our bodies are meant to serve us well for a long time ... were it not for the environmental pollution we have to live with, and the nasty "foods" which BigFood promotes to us. These pollutants (as in my case) can trigger autoimmunity, and if its thyroid autoimmunity, the house of cards comes crashing down. You would be amazed at what high thyroid level does for immunity and libido!
