Answer is ....We shouldn't! But that what happens. also Weiner was known to be not liked by alot of powerful people. He of all people should better to be giving girls he barely know his phone number.. There is a very good reason why his last name is weiner that seems to be the only thing he knows how to think with.
But also this so classically reveal just how conniving people can be when they want to see one's downfall.

Yes. For better or worse (too often worse), public officials are inevitably role models for the young and impressionable. They need to exert some self-control. It sends the wrong message for a married man (and quondam Congressman) like Anthony Weiner to trash his marital vows by seeking to hook up with sundry nubile maids via sexting. The only way I can bring myself to muster any sympathy for him is by conjuring up the mental strain to which he must have been subjected as the result of his marriage to Hillary Clinton's closest advisor.

It is obvious that the public figures are as human as the rest of us. They eat and they shit, they drink and they piss as us. The differences are in what we think and what we say, what we have and what we do.
Even Donald Trump is human as us as incredible that that can seem to be. We can blame him about what? He narrow down only the minds of those who were already twats by exciting their bad instincts or by giving them bad ideas which they already had. He deceives nobody, not those for whom he is only blowing on the embers of their stupidity, nor those who see right through his facade.

I had to think about this for a bit which is, I suppose, the point of this Blog. Yes, lots of people do hold politicians to a higher standard but I don't think we should. The constitution forbids any religious test for those in higher office. Having said that, I wouldn't want Congress to be a bunch of self-centered, self-serving, amoral assholes. Some would argue it already is but I think there are lots of very decent human beings in Washington. I think it's the system that's broken but that's a post for another day. Lots of great potential candidates won't run for office because they don't want to make public every thing they ever did. It's very sad, hypocritical and is hurting us all.

The prohibition on a "religious test" was placed in the Constitution in order to allow non-Anglicans to serve. Its purpose was not remotely related to a desire that reckless libertines like Anthony Weiner be vouchsafed a place in the marbled halls of the legislature.
