I liked the moment when France McDormand (who deserves her first name) asked to all the present women in the room to get up and exhorted the producers to listen to their stories.
As regards the statuette itself, Oscar stands arms crossed over his chest, he never says salacious obscenities, and never shows his sex.
The macho men who govern the cinematographic industry would have had to notice these characteristics before they chose Oscar as their symbol. Or would have had to take them in account.
