It was the old "Good news, Bad News" kind of visit to the eye specialist. Figures, doesn't it? The swelling is gone - I can get glasses. But I can look forward to slowly losing my sight, anyway.
Another M.D.: Macular Degeneration. Like the Muscular Dystrophy wasn't enough. Sheesh. #sometimesgenessuck #amiright?
The weather promises to be warm and sunny this weekend...so it can plummet again next week. Mama said there'd be days like this.
"Calgon! Take me away."
Tub or shower? Which relaxes you more?

Oh not me sugar! I enjoy myself a nice hot bath at most twice a week. Granted once done, I rinse and then clean with a shower, but the long hot soak with salts and lavender oil is heavenly. And the hot water keeps my boys hanging low.!!!!
Glad to hear of good news on the eye front! Keep it up!
Pour moi c'est le bain... mais je n'ai pas de baignoire ... qu'une piscine. ouf !
For me it's the bath ... but I don't have a bathtub ... only a swimming pool. phew!

Oh no! Sorry about those news. Ugh. Genes, am I right?
And think I'm a shower kind of guy. Have never felt too inclined to take baths. BTW, if that guy with the chest tattoo were to be in my tub, I'd take a bath EVERY DAY.
XOXO
I used a tub in the past when there was no shower; I enjoyed it. Now it's a shower all the time.
Glad you can get glasses, but so sorry to hear about the future eyesight problems. I always shower, but it's for getting clean, not relaxation. Guess I'm missing out.
I like to relaxe in a spa or whirlpool bath but showering is my favorite to get clean and relaxing also.
They say that baths aren't very hygienic and shower is preferable.
I shower. Haven't taken a bath in ages. I do like pools. I like being in water... immersed. But never have the time for a bath and showers invigorate, baths wipe me out.
Love the Shirelles!
The shower. No doubt because the water jets exert a kind of massage which stimulates your blood circulation.
Have a great weekend. Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Tub is definitely more relaxing! Why do people put a hot tub on the deck instead of a hot shower??
Showers are faster, if cleanliness is the goal.
And why do they usually use women in the bath or the shower... men would be easier to photograph-- less 'territory' to avoid with the camera! You can show a man's chest (hairy or plain), his back, his buttocks, and still not offend anyone!
Although there's a recent ad where a man is basically exercising in the shower, does a split and back up... Don't remember the product, but do remember the man!

Shower whenever to wash off daily grime and sweat. Tub once or twice each week with moisturiser in the water for a soak and relaxation.
Guess what, all these men were once small and loved taking looooong baths with loads of toys and bubbles. Right? Hugs and bisous.
1st sorry to hear the bad of the "good news, bad news". Can not imagine.
2nd SHOWER. The near very wamr turn a lobster red kind. Baths are relaxing, but quickly just make me feel dirty and scummy.
A cold weather bicycle ride requires a hot bath. My feet are cold, my hands are cold, everything is cold.
The bath water is started. The thermometer shows that the water is about 100 degrees F. Slowly sitting down in it, sinking deeper and deeper until the water starts running out of the overflow.
Lay back, read and relax for about 30 minutes. When I get out I feel so warm. Yesterday I just about fell a sleep in the tub.
@ Six - You are right. I may be older than dirt, but I'm too young for age-related macular degeneration. 🤷♀️ XOXO
@ Jeff - Pools are good for floating around and relaxing!
@ Paul - I know the commercial but can't think of what product they're pushing. I'm always waiting to see if he slips and falls. Eek.
@ Jean - Oh, you're right. We loved our long baths once we hit "a certain age;" no rubber duckie required. Hugs and bisous.
I never understood the (kind of) reluctance some people show towards baths, arguing they are not as 'hygienic' as showers are.
It only takes a quick shower prior to diving in the tub for a fine and relaxing time. Ask any Japanese, to them it is obvious.
After all: would we even think of diving in a swimming pool without being properly showered first???
P.S.: is the other M.D. an eye specialist too? Because I met a pocketful of Doctors in my life, many of them being full of themselves with matters they did not master. So just keep on being who you are: someone fit at having a critical mind.
happy for you
shower for me!
