Penis Pride

As Your French Patrick pointed out in a comment on yesterday's post (which mistakenly got removed while I got rid of a spammer's comments across 50 different posts) sorry, mon ami!), we seem to have this whole anti-penis thing going on in the world. He suggests we begin a revolution of Penis Pride.

Yes, when it comes to guys' apparatus, I agree we need to promote healthier attitudes. Regardless of sexual orientation, or what a person feels their true gender is, we need to adopt more acceptance of the male genitals. We must alter the perception that permeates society which has declared that a nude woman is beautiful (though she is)

while a naked man is indecent, or lewd

There is nothing indecent about this

there is nothing lewd about this

It is the male human form

Absolutely agree. Three is no shame in being human - in being male - in being naked as we are formed. The penis is a beautiful, noble body part that celebrates our maleness. Thanks for promoting healthy attitudes, bro. Hugs and Strokes, AOM

AMEN!

No animals are ashamed of their male organ..

We are intelligent animals (well for most of us..) and being naked is just NATURAL...

Small or big, the penis is part of us and no shame to show it...

Cheers

Japanese seem to be more confortable with sex!

I said also that it's a get-rich-quick scheme.
I think that you know that the "inventors" of the Gay Pride (which is a registered trademark) won a great fortune.

I wish you a wondrous day, mon chéri, with a lot of bisous.

It seems men can be the worst at shaming each other. Article on Daily Mail (British tabloid) about a celebrity wearing Speedos who was very well-endowed. He was ridiculed for wearing what they called a "budgie-smuggler." A put-down by another man.

The comments were also really amazing with at least 80% saying Speedo-type suits should be banned from beaches! The folks couldn't handle the mere outline of the man, much less if he were nude! I thought he looked great. ;-)

For the ancient Greeks the nude male was an object of great beauty and was accepted and revered. With or without an erection, the male body is something beautiful and should be appreciated as such. When did it all go wrong? Christianity emerging from the Jewish religion seems to have been mainly responsible, though the Jews also considered the nude female form as unacceptable! Thanks for your comments on my little daily images, while I've been away! Hugs, Patrick!

As regards the Greeks of the antiquity, Lord Patrick is quite right, but we should not forget that the Roman took over during centuries before the religious obscurantism suffocates all this.
We must also mention the awaking with a start of the period of the European Renaissance (= revival) to which we owe marvels such as the Michelangelo's David until ayatollahs of the Catholicism strangled the art once again.

Great post and great examples of maleness!

@ Jean - Yes, this is what I'm talking about. Men who exert their underlying homophobia by statements such as that. They are why Macy's can run an ad with women parading in bra and panties and, though the ad Voice Over states men's under and outer wear are on sale, the men are shown only in full dress. How very, very sad.

Jean's comment echoes the conversation I had with an elderly (91) male friend last week. He likes to regale me with his youthful exploits. He was telling me about a 50-something female who works where his wife (with Alzheimer's) is living. He told me he complimented her on her beautiful breasts. He said she was not offended. I asked him "what about men with a big cock and big nuts who wear tight clothing and show a bulge"? He didn't answer. He just looked at me like I was some kind of pervert. Btw, I wear/show my bulge proudly.

@ RockHard...May people like that man be slowly overtaken by men such as yourself. My own cock it delightfully visible in my pants - and if I happen to get a bit of a hard-on or even a full-on boner, so be it.
