We've come to the end of Movember - the month dedicated to Men's Cancer Awareness. I hope each and every guy who reads this blog did his due diligence and went for that Ball, Cock, Prostate, and Breast Cancer Check-up.

Just for fun, BuzzFeedBlue shared some odd-ball facts about balls.
1. “TESTICLES” DERIVES FROM THE LATIN WORD “TESTIS,” WHICH MEANS WITNESS. LINGUISTS ARE UNSURE WHY THESE WORDS SHARE COMMON ROOTS, BUT ONE THEORY STATES THAT IN ANCIENT ROME, MEN HAD TO SWEAR ON THEIR TESTICLES IN COURT.
2. SQUEEZING TESTICLES TOO TIGHT CAN CAUSE THE BODY TO RELEASE A DEADLY AMOUNT OF ADRENALINE.
|

3. TESTICLES CAN ALMOST DOUBLE IN SIZE DURING SEX.
4. THE BUILT-UP PRESSURE IS WHAT CAUSES “BLUE BALLS.”

5. NATIVE WOMEN FROM NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA, USED TO BREW TEA WITH BEAVER TESTICLES. THESE WOMEN BELIEVED IT WORKED AS A CONTRACEPTIVE.
6. THE FIRST DINOSAUR FOSSIL TO BE NAMED WAS CALLED SCROTUM HUMANUM. THE GUY WHO NAMED IT WAS PRETTY SURE IT WAS A GIANT'S SCROTUM. IT TOOK ABOUT 60 YEARS FOR SCIENTISTS TO CLASSIFY IT AS PART OF A MEGALOSAURUS.
7. THE LARGEST HUMAN SCROTUM WAS 132 POUNDS. ALLEGEDLY, FORMER U.S. PRESIDENT LYNDON B. JOHNSON ONCE SPECIAL ORDERED A PAIR OF PANTS WITH EXTRA ROOM FOR HIS NUTS, ACCORDING TO BUZZFEEDBLUE — A BALLSY MOVE, WE CAN AGREE.

As Medical Daily warns: "Whether you call them “meatballs,” “truffles,” or “jellybeans,” it’s important to pay attention to your testicles to learn about your physical health."
|
6 |
And the same goes for your cock. Pay attention to the number and quality of boners each day

great and interessant post! (as usual)
Always a wealth of information!
Wonderful end to a special month! Yes! Look after all those dangly bits!
Recently on Bate World, people have started calling them "tanks." As in, time to drain those tanks. New one for me, thought I'd share.
At first I got scared, believing that we were on December 15.
In english testify <=> testicles, in French, testicles <=> testify, attest. It's obviouly the same etymological origin. We have the same word "testament", for the one which testifies of our last wills or for the Old and new Testaments.
I don't know why the linguists are unsure. Several passages of the Bible confirm this interpretation (every time a character swears to tell the truth, he puts the hand on the top of the thighs - and we can suppose that it is the chaste way of saying that it is in reality on his testicles).
This believing of the natives from New Brunswick is strange, testicles are universally associated at the idea of fertility and not with that of the contraception.
Love an bisous, my friends Pat and Jean.
That guy in the first picture has a beautiful set of balls!!! But did you tell me to keep tract and inspect each boner during the day? I'd have to break like every 15 minutes!
Or as Santa would say, "Are you jingling my bells?" Hugs and bisous, Pat and Patrick.
Quite correct about the testes / testis link, and it's also the root of the English word "testimony." One's testicles bore witness that he was a man, which in ancient times was deemed important because under the prevailing view at the time woman were thought to be prone to "hysteria" (from the Greek word "hystera" = womb, as in "hysterectomny").
Horribly sexist, I know, but that was the norm. PMS hadn't been officially named, but they had no doubt experienced it.
Beyond that, where a witness swore on his testicles everyone took that seriously because -- which of us would risk the penalty for perjury under such an oath (i.e., castration)? Far fewer lies were told then in legal proceedings as compared with our current parlous state.
@ that one guy - That's a new one for me! Thanks!!
@ mistress - Well, you are surely blessed! You don't have to haul it out to check it (unless you want to, of course!) - just take note of how hard it gets.
How do you make a tea from testicles? Can we at least say tea is made from plants?
@ Anon - Well, one supposes those women found a way to do it. Though we've heard of Teabagging, we'll agree that the best tea is made from plants. :-)
