I once described my sexuality to a gay friend as being "whoever I feel comfortable with." I guess I was ahead of my time.
As men become more...open, shall we say, about their gay-straight friendships, I wonder how long it will take for this "pansexual" thing to spread far and wide. Pansexual is the same as "fluid" - meaning a sexual relationship can crop up between two people who share an attraction regardless of gender or gender identity.
The sooner we come to accept that both men and women are capable of enjoying and expressing pleasure in sex, no matter who the partner may be at the time, the better off we'll be.
It's pie in the sky, I know. But, we "artistes" are like that, you know - dreamers.
So, how many of you readers have ever had any sexual activity with both genders?

No! Never with a woman! Often wondered what a threesome might have been like! Trust you are enjoying your summer.
My only erotic exchange with women was at a Body Electric workshop for men and women together - just to get an idea of what I was missing. Did erotic massage with several women, and received one of my best erotic massages ever from 3 amazing women!
me only with men! gay 100%
Me, but first I made the beast with two backs with only one gender, and thereafter I frolicked only with the other one.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Decades ago, I would have sex with whoever I was interested in at the time. These days, it's just with my boyfriend.
definitely into men mostly but have fallen in love with 2 women, so yes to both
I have to admit that all of my adventures have been with men. I go to nude beaches and such from time to time and I am comfortable naked in front of women. Personally, I have never had the desire to have sex with a woman.
Been with both and at end of the day it depends on the person your with. Its no different to a strictly gay/straight relationship. You have good ones and you have your bad ones.
Being Pansexual though is difficult in how others perceive you. Especially when your young. Many dont know what it is or think its the same as being bi. It is not. For me Pansexual is you identify as the gender you are but within a relationship you are not only sexually fluid but also gender fluid. You can pander to any gender within a relationship. You could even be gender less.
Sex is sex. Male, female it really dont matter when it comes to that. Its an activity thats all it is.
Live and let live I say! your quote "whoever I feel comfortable with." should be fine with most. I am amazed the comfort my male straight friends have with me. sexual and non sexual ones. That to me show they are comfortable with in their skins.
Had sex with both in high school and college but always preferred men.
In my younger days, I had sex a couple of time with woman. Also had a very brief and drunken three-way with a man and a woman. I was young I find the concept of pansexual very interesting. I would have to say I lean mostly to the homosexual side of the spectrum. Great blog as alway.

Recently read a comment on a masturbation website where the guy said "I describe myself as 'pansexual' because I've really never come across anything sexual that I didn't like."
As for me: Never had sex with a woman, never wanted to. The idea of being sexual, or even just naked, in the presence of a woman is a huge turn-off for me. I've taken the Kinsey test a few times and always scored a 6.
Whew! Now that that's out of the way:
I recognize that for most people, sexual attraction depends somewhat on being, or becoming, "comfortable with" the person. I guess I'm at one end of the spectrum, since I'd be happy to drop trou and jerk off with pretty much any guy as long as it wasn't dangerous. On the other end of the spectrum, I once knew a guy who said he couldn't get an erection with someone unless he was in love. (He was straight; I didn't try to test him.)
