Dreary Day

It's cloudy, windy, and dreary.

Small chance of rain.

It's a perfect day to curl up with a good book.

Then, we discovered out 14-year old cat - who was feral and adopted us when he was a wee thing - died early this morning. That's enough to take the wind out of your sails, for sure.

Oh the poor little kitteth. At least it had a wonderful home with you all those years. On my way in I saw one in the road a car hit. It was upsetting. Very sunny and spring like here...I'll pass you some.....

Very sorry to hear about your cat. That's the age of our cat now.

Yes, my friend, it's more than enough. Personally I have never had a cat, only dogs, but I remember the tears of my son and my grandsons at the death of their cat Caline (= cuddly), also feral and that they adopted, also very old, which they still often think about three years later.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

We are also about to get some of that dreary weather here soon after a perfect spring weekend. I suppose it is the dreary that allows us to truly appreciate just how gorgeous beautiful weather is. Sorry to hear about your cat. In his years on earth his life was changed for the better and enjoyed an immensely richer life having known you and being taken care of by you and yours.

I thought of you when I posted today's AOM Meditations - you certainly are a tremendously positive role model for all who know you and what a difference you are making in the lives of so many people around the world. I wish you to find the goodness or comfy rest on this dreary day. Wishing you all the very best, my Friend. Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM

Very sorry to hear about the loos of your cat companion.
Funny how they slowly wheedle their way into your heart and become as important as any human. I've been through this too many times and I know the pain.
Take care.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of your cat. Pets become part of our families. I hope that tomorrow is a better day.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I rescued a feral when he was about 6 weeks old, and bawled when I had to put him to sleep 17 years later. Definitely miss him more than some family members.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. Our calico is 18 now and I dread the day. Of course I've been saying that for about four years now.
