Able to Enjoy Themselves

Today is Memorial Day in the U.S. Take time to remember those who have served and sacrificed.
And let's hope that those serving today will remain safe

Happy Memorial Day, my friend. "They gave all their tomorrows for our todays". With my deepest respect, let us make love, cuddle, kiss each other or wank, and other ways to feel that we are alive thanks to them.

But I cannot say better than him:

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

“In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae.

I wish you a wondrous day, my baby, with a lot of bisous.

@French Patrick - I have read this before and it is incredibly sad since all the men who died were young and had their whole lives before them. We are lucky we have had those years. Lots of bisous to you and Pat for your rememberance.

@ Jean WM
You remember (or you know) that after so much horrors (in the plural) and disasters in a ravaged World, everybody was saying "Never again!", and that it for this purpose that we created the UNO in 1945. When we see the results... It is an insult to every of these deaths.
Bisous, Darling.
