(Cock) Size Obessessed

I ran across an interesting article. Antiquity is a very interesting subject for me, and even more so if the subject turns to cock. Well, what can I say? I'm fascinated by the changes in societal attitudes.

So, let's have a short Art lesson. The question: Why do works of art in antiquity always have such small penises; were penises smaller then? No. And, if one were to look closely at the vast majority of men when fully flaccid it would be obvious.
3
In ancient societies, while the phallus was a thing of beauty, revered, and honored, it also happens they much preferred the smaller penis. It was thought the larger ones depicted...foolishness, lust, ugliness. Ancient sculptures were about idealism, so it makes sense they would depict the male organ smaller
rather than larger as are typically depicted today.

The single most referenced statues of enormous size were of Priapus, the Greek god of fertility.
It's where we get the term "priapism" for an erection that won't subside. Today, we often think of him in good terms. We fondly think of a permanent hard-on, and sometimes wish we could achieve not only the constant boner (or, at least what we thought was constant as we progressed through puberty).

But we want the proportions of Priapus, as well. The bigger the cock the better, right?

9
But, in Greek Mythology, Priapus was cursed with a permanent erection, ugliness, and foul-mindedness by the god Hera. Priapus was so despised by the other gods that they threw him off Mount Olympus. All this makes me wonder when - at what point in our history - the impression changed. When did we become enamored of long, thick cocks?
10
But it all proves one point: We've always been obsessed with cock size.

A further question might be: Men are the ones to hold this with the utmost of importance. Do women? Not so much as we'll discover tomorrow...

The sensations depend much more on the diameter than of the length.
The women very well understood it.
The men not at all.

And also, there is a chronological order to be respected:
A) To become a King.
B) Then, and only then, to wonder if we want to have a king size cock.
C) Answer not.

I wish you a wondrous day, my darling, with lots of king size bisous.

Very true presentation of Greek art. Probable the Romans were more interested in size, but as much of their sculpture was stolen from the Greeks it difficult to determine. As "Gay Culture" developed in the last 100 years, so "gay art" and "literature" has shown the bigger/longer penis as something to be desired. This also seems to have run over into male society in general. "SIZE MATTERS" would seem to be the slogan these days for many men! But in public art and sculpture the penis is not always shown as extra large or long. I'll be away the next couple of days, but will leave a "Packed Lunch"! Hugs, Patrick

Very interesting and informative. I've noticed the smaller penis on statues and paintings but never knew why.

Since the artists were almost always male, did they minimize the size for their own reasons? Are men longer now because of better overall Nutrition?

Of course women don't care! Cock size is only part of the love-making equation. I can think of other things that are a lot more important and enthusiasm is one!! I'm with French Patrick, I vote for breadth!

@ Jean - now there's a statement I hadn't heard from any woman, anywhere. Girth is what makes a difference for you Ladies. See? I keep telling the men that women make wonderful contributions if they would only listen!

@ Jean WM:
Welcome to the club, my heart, and thank you for your support.
In fact, there is a case when the length matters, and a single case: when it is excessive, too long and that the blood supply can no more allow it to be well stiff and well hard, when for the same reason we can have no hard-on, when it is so long that it hurts and obliges men to put on a ring halfway, like the guard of a sword, so as to limit the penetration.
Lots of bisous, dear Jean.

@ RMutt - I like that! (But, I guess that means no boners. LOL.)
