BoCOX

Morning

"I just came across an article about men having Botox injections in their penis and was shocked, but also greatly intrigued.  The article's focus was more on the aesthetics of it making things fuller and hang longer, but also gives you harder erections.  After a deeper dive, it is also being used as a possible help for people with ED.

I was wondering if you'd heard of this, posted on it, or had any general thoughts.  Seems crazy to inject toxins there, but as someone who suffers from ED, I'm curious."

Yes, Botox --- called BoCOX by some men --- is now being used off-label to treat ED. Off-label means it has not been FDA-approved for this use. However, current studies report it to be up to 77% effective, especially for men who are not responding to typical medications like Cialis and Viagra.

It is injected directly into the corpus cavernosa at multiple points and relaxes that "smooth muscle" to allow for more blood flow --- the culprit behind most ED. The procedure takes about 30 minutes. Just like Botox treatments for one's face, this would require repeat injections every 4 to 9 months.

I don't believe it can add length, but it might add girth.

Remember, this is a toxin. There can be complications with this procedure just as there may be for facial treatments. I would suggest a visit to a Urologist who specializes in ED treatments to decide if it's something to pursue.
