Morning
Happy Birthday to me, and Jean, longtime faithful reader, who shares the birthdate.
45-RPM vinyl? Yes, I'm that old.
I also remember being very young and listening to 78-RPM acetate.
It's a good day to have a celebratory drink.
And eat cake.
Have a great weekend, everyone.

Enjoy your birthday today! Oh yeah, I remember the heyday of 45s too! I still have a bunch of my faves in a drawer. My first portable record player around 1970 still had a setting for 78s as well. Of course, 78s were a dime-a-dozen at garage sales by then -- couldn't GIVE the damn things away! Man, the sound was SO scratchy on them!

And I have 45s! I have a whole collection of promos and a box with the original singles from The Ronettes. Love them.
I have seen 78s but you cannot play them anymore unless you have a 50s refurbished record player.
XOXO
