Your Medical Advocate

What an incredible response to Friday's post!
Thank you to everyone who left comments.
Just how important is it for men to cum on a regular basis? During an Friday appointment with my Neuro he decided it was time to review my meds. He got to the Testosterone which my previous GP did not want to not refill (she has since been let go) and asked why it had been prescribed in the first place.

My response: "Well, my T levels were below 100, I'd get very tired by midday and, to be quite frank, without it I can't even get hard enough to jerk off."

Neuro: "There are certain things the body needs Testosterone for, and that's one of them. You need to stay on it."

So, the Testosterone cream is back into the mix.

You need to be your medical advocate.

When you treat your physician like a human being rather than someone who needs to be spoken to in delicate terms, they'll respond like one. Because they are, you know.

This is incredibly important and true -- You need to be your own medical advocate.

Well, that is good news to hear for you! And your right...we know our body and how we feel on certain meds if there working. Just be honest and truth with a doc, and things work out.

I wonder how the gender of the physician affects that? Would you have had the same conversation with female GP? It will be interesting to see how you fare with the T back in. One thing I’ve learned from this blog is how important this is to men. And how difficult it is for them to speak up about their sexuality.
Women aren’t as shy because they’ve been going to doctors for “female issues“ since they were girls. But physical issues are very different from sexual issues and women are just as shy to speak up about them. In fact I think they are probably more willing to accept a decline as the inevitable. Which may be the reason there are so many viagra/Cialis concoctions.
Hugs and Bisous French Patrick.

@ Jean - I did. She scrunched up her face, said she'd see me next time, left the room and sent a one-month prescription back in with the nurse. I made a bit of a stink, the nurse went out and returned with a new one - - for 2 months.
I believe she was (is) very uncomfortable treating men for anything having to do with the genitals. Last year when the varicocele acted up it took three months for her to properly put referrals in place.
Hugs and bisous!
