The myth about Thanksgiving is that the Pilgrims invited the peaceful "Native Americans" to join them at their feast to thank them for their help. The truth is that those peaceful indigenous peoples were looking for allies to help defend themselves against their warring enemy tribe who had decimated their numbers.
