Big Trouble

Morning

"Since your post on the S Court taking on the case about conversion bullshit, I have suspiciaon my younger brother was given something to stop him from getting hardons even tho the antigay camp sais no, they told him it was simple retraining of thoughts.. Can you really stop your dick from getting hard just by thinking? Is there any longterm residual effects of chemical castration cuz he still can't get hard?

First of all, I'm sorry your brother was sent to one of those places. They're awful. They don't work. And they can cause long-term damage --- mental and physical. I'm glad he's got someone he can confide in.

The answer to your first question is, "No." You can't stop a boner just by wishing it away.

Erections are a normal physiological function, and a normal response to any form of arousal. The function is important to overall health and well-being.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, there can be long-term residual effects, depending on how long the medication was used. Low libido is common - which, of course, has an effect on getting hard. That, in turn, can often cause depression. Other physical issues can also crop up depending on length of use: like weak muscles.

If he was given any kind of medication against his will or knowledge, or without the knowledge and written permission of his legal guardian, those conversion camp folks are in some big trouble. I'm not sure how long traces of the medication remain in the bloodstream, but you might encourage him to see a doctor.

If that comes back positive, it's time for lawyers. All of that is, of course, dependent upon who his legal guardians are and whether they care about his well-being.

All I have to do is think about "President Trump" and my dick wilts.

Boy that's a terrible story. Weather gay or straight why would anyone not want to get an erection? And to hold them back and do last thing damage but only hurt those that would also be trying to get pregnant. If I can't get hard how's he going to get the seed to the egg?

I would say the brother is traumatized.
Conversion therapy is aversion therapy.. You get conditioned to respond negatively to same-sex attraction. And sex is part of that attraction.

All I can think is in 100 years, people will look back and think we were crazy.

So sorry for this story!

May pornographic stories have a male character trying to will away an erection with unerotic thoughts.

Very good advice.
I completely agree with you. It makes you wonder where these people get their information about these imaginary conversions...
Thanks again for your always good information.

Whilst you may not be able to think a boner away, some things like pain can cause a boner to diminish because biologically pain is more important than pleasure and it is possible to cause yourself psychological pain through thought processes.

Aversion therapy relies on associating an event with pain or other unpleasant responses, to dissuade repetition, because pain is treated as more important than pleasure within an organism, for survival.

As for chemical castration, I believe they give the residents of aged care facilities something to make them more manageable, which includes suppressing libido, especially for men. Of course they wouldn't highlight this: some antidepressants are also good at suppressing libido and sexual pleasure as a secondary effect to "making the residents happier".

Could he have received medication to wipe out his testosterone? I single shot knocked mine out when I was being treated for prostate cancer. Took 6 months to get my hardons back. (4 cyberknife radiation treatments killed the cancer, so it was worth it!) Suggest he have his testosterone level checked out.

Indeed, we do.

That's become an epidemic.

Those conversion camps are so totally screwed up in their thinking.

whkattk said...

Exactly. They're awful places that do that shit to people.

whkattk said...

Thank, my friend.

whkattk said...

Most likely. I mean, we already know enough about sexuality to know better.
Hugs and bisous.

Me, too. I can't believe the SCOTUS would even entertain the idea of taking up a case involving this crap.

whkattk said...

And it never works..... 😁

The things (torture) they come up with astound me.

To medicate anyone without their knowledge and permission should never be done, regardless of age. And to do it to a young person for the purpose of warding off wood is unhealthy.

I think that's exactly what chemical castration does is zero out the testosterone. So, T levels is a great alternative suggestion for a blood test. Thanks, Hugh!

This is so sad and I am glad he has a brother like your reader, who hopefully will guide him along this journey.

Yeah, one common thing is aversion therapy: Show gay porn, and then shock him if he gets an erection. But you know, youth pastors are so often busted for possession of CP.
