My reminder to you all that it's time to check The Boys.

Then it's time to remind every male you know to do the same. Testicular cancer strikes most commonly between the ages of 15 and 35. That doesn't mean it can't develop anywhere outside that range.

Moms and Dads? You want proof that you need to educate your young sons on the TSE? Proof that you can't ignore or shrug off complaints? Proof that it's never too early?

It's only ever too late.

In 2015, Medical Daily reported on Jack Bristow, the youngest known testicular cancer patient.

Rick (SickoRicko's Crap) sent along this article from Today about early signs of ball cancer.

Imagine a physician who was ignorant of those indications. The article tells what finally sent him to get checked out.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 

While I harp on the Ball Check, it is only occasionally that I remind you that men can and do develop breast cancer. Particularly if there is a family history of either breast cancer or early-onset prostate cancer. A link has been discovered in the HR+, HER2- genes, which could mean you're prone to either one, or both.

I'm assuming that all my women readers already do a breast exam.

Now I want all my male readers to do a decent self-exam of their pecs.

It would be perfect if you got into the habit of doing both the Ball Check and the Breast Exam every month.

Assuming you don't have any outward symptoms, you want to gently palpate the entire area.

Look for lumps or odd hard spots.

Log onto His Breast Cancer for detailed instructions.

Or ask your spouse, partner, or close female friend for some assistance.

"I have always been taught that urine is pretty sanitary, so I checked it out and this is what I found:

Your jeans will be cleaner and your lawn will be greener.' another quote: 'You picked up more than your share of dirt, mud, and who knows what else on your skin or in your hair during your day. You’ve probably washed far less sterile things than urine off your body and down the drain.' Yep, all true."

No, not COVID-19.

HPV.

I've posted in the past about the HPV vaccine and how important it is to get your kids vaccinated. The recommended age range was 12 - 24 but, preferably before they become sexually active. Now, I'm seeing TV ads for Gardisil-9 promoting it for up to age 45.

45, guys.

The thing about HPV is that it can cause cancers which can crop up late(r) in life. I know two guys who developed mouth cancer - for no apparent reason. Never used tobacco in any form.

The commercials for the vaccine states "a variety" of cancers, the one they never mention on TV: Penile cancer. I will spare you the gruesome photos. You really don't want to see them. And you certainly don't want that cancer.

make sure this one is added to the vaccination schedule.
