First, some guys get erections during a massage and some don't. I think most massage training includes that bit of information and what to do about clients who do bone up. As I'm sure you're aware, giving clients a hand job is considered prostitution and is illegal.
That being said, some therapists will ignore the boner.
Some will take care of it.
I've had various reactions to mine from both men and women. Everything from getting pissed off, leaving and not returning, to tossing a small towel over and ignoring it, to relieving it. One guy handed me a warm towel and said, "I'll give you a few minutes to take care of that" as he left the room. The thing is to never, ever expect the "happy ending." I bought a folding massage table and they were not that expensive. We have a naked massage party of 5 to 6 people. One person lays naked face down on the table and the rest gather round. They all massage together for 4 min. and then we move clockwise one spot for another 4 min. until we are half way through. At this point the person on the table flips and we complete the rotation. We then switch the person on the table. After half the guest have had a turn on the table we take a break for a beverage and then finish with the rest of the guests. Everyone gets a chance to be messaged. Soft music and candles set a relaxing mood. Have lots of massage oil and paper towels ready to wipe off the extra oil. This is set up in the living room, just move the coffee table. Light snacks can be served at the end. A nice relaxing evening.
I use 3 massage therapists (all male) and I always pop a boner. All acknowledged my erection when I turned over and assured me that I shouldn't be embarrassed. It really didn't bother me but I asked if it happened often.

For me, I am totally fine with a client who gets a boner. It means that they are allowing their body to respond naturally to the massage work. I do not give "happy endings" as a routine part of a massage appointment. Have I ever give one though? Well....lol! So many of my clients are regulars and I am fine if they want to be naked on the table without draping. And some enjoy me being nude too...and being the nudist that I am...I am willing. LOL! There's another massage tradition that welcomes hardons you should know about. I was trained to do Taoist Erotic Massage at the Body Electric school. The whole point of the massage is to generate erotic energy and circulate it throughout the body without expelling it. Hardons are not required, but they really help!
