As President Musk's little band of outlaws makes its way through demolishing the various entities, there will be a gathering and protest at the Veteran's Administration in D.C., today. Despite the fact I have never used VA medical, those of us who have served deserve to have better care than what these yahoos plan to provide with their privatization bullshit.

Why did this post make me so hard?
It's not like the VA offers exemplary care - the fiasco with the conditions at the Walter Reed hospital are still fresh in many minds. My husband is an Army veteran and uses the Providence VAMC; the issue he faces is the incredible turnover in physicians and staff. He has to meet a new PCP about once a year (not exaggerating). But that said; the VMAC offers a very comprehensive degree of services; everything spread out over several campuses. One-stop shopping for him, no issues with race or sexual orientation; as a matter of fact, the Providence VMAC proudly flies a rainbow flag in support of the thousands of LGBT+ service members. THAT, Pat, is what is going to hurt - when the DUI Hire (Hegseth) decides to enact the "No Trans / No LGB" policy for the DoD and the VA. These assholes just can't stop fucking with shit just for the sake of being a bully.

Maybe you can't resist a man in uniform ---- er, I mean, a man out of uniform. LOL
It can be a pain starting over with a new PCP every year, but the VA provides so many needed services. And those asshats just want to destroy everything for their own benefit.
