I had thought about not flying the Donald Trump fuck toy in front of our house, but then contemplated that my father and his able siblings (M and F) all volunteered to serve in WWII. To serve the country, to protect our democracy and to rid the world of authoritarian rule. To fight. At dawn, I raised our American Flag to it's place of honor.
I feel a sense of remorse for our soldiers today. My husband is ex-Army; served 4 years stationed in Honduras, South Korea and Germany. He's disgusted with how the DoD and our government is being run. Prior to T*ump, he was "Mister Red White and Blue" around the national holidays. We have boxes of banners and pinwheels, etc. None of that has been brought out. I do not believe he is alone in his feelings.
At least we have the memories of dignity and honor.
Heros and winners. Not suckers and losers, as a certain occupant of our now desecrated White House has said. And yet he is allowed to get away with it, with the acquiescence of the American public that supports him, as he dances on the graves of America’s war dead. A sickness has descended upon the land. Worse are those Americans that stay silent. -CA jock

I spent 9+ years in the military....but never put out anything like that.
Memories of dignity and honor...yup. That's all we have.
Too many young people do take things for granted. They seem to think they're entitled.
