Pronto.

Morning

Monday Giggles have been pre-empted by this comment left over the weekend.

"My husband has had issues for a couple weeks. First he's been unable to cum. We've tried every position possible and he still can't get it to shoot. Now he stands at the toilet straining to pee and still doesn't want to go see a doctor."

I'm not sure why guys are so shy about seeing our doctors when it comes to issues with our bits. Afraid of getting a boner, I imagine.

But your husband's issue: that's not good. Not at all good. There's most likely an issue with his prostate, and I'd put my money on a severe infection. It will not resolve on its own - he needs medical attention. Trust me. While my infection didn't get to the point I couldn't take a leak, I wasn't able to cum.

According to the Oregon Urology Institute, an untreated prostate infection can lead to an abscess. If left untreated long enough, that can spread into the bloodstream and lead to sepsis. Which can be deadly.

Do not take no for an answer. Grab your husband by the balls and take him to an Urgent Care, or to a Urologist.

Pronto.
Like yesterday.

A boner in front of a doctor is better than weeks or months lying in a hospital bed fighting infection.

Then...make sure your husband is following these prescriptions:

This week's giggles will be posted tomorrow.

Yes go to a doctor...that is if it doesn't take 8 months to get an appointment.

Very good advice! Yes, it sounds serious!

I think he may know, or at least suspect, that his difficulties are caused by an STD, and he doesn’t want her to know. But it could be just BPH, which can be treated with meds in most cases. If not, there are surgical techniques that will solve the problem, while maintaining full sexual function, including ejaculating. (I know - the surgery worked perfectly for me!). Either way he needs to get checked out pronto. Urinary retention can cause major problems if not treated.

Yep! Sounds exactly like a prostate infection. As an RN for 33 years, and having had a few of these over the years myself.... Nothing at all to be embarrassed to talk to a physician about. Go to your urgent care center near you and make a follow up appointment with a urologist just to check things through thoroughly. It is especially critical when it reaches the point of not being able to urinate, as this can impact your kidneys. Don't wait any longer, go.

While an STD can cause prostatitis, it is not the leading cause. It is most commonly E. Coli that has ascended the urethra and caused infection of the prostate.

The getting a boner at the doctor is not it.
Getting a finger up his ass would be more like it. It can be BPH and that is very worrying.
Also, he may have caught something when fooling around....
Get him to the doctor STAT.

XOXO

Agree, get it checked, the doctor does not give a fuck about a possible reaction, they want to help the issue.

I think part (most) of the fear men have about seeing a doctor about their naughty bits is that a -man- will have to feel his equipment. And, should the patient grow an erection, in response to a MAN's fondling, well! There goes his carefully preserved image of 100% masculinity, and his fear of those carefully suppressed thoughts about homosexuality!

He may have had some bad experiences, or the reverse, going to the doctor is the “great unknown“. Unfortunately it’s all part of being an adult, and you have to do some things you absolutely don’t want to do. But once you go, it does get easier every time. I have found the medical profession to be excellent in all their services. Hugs and bisous.

Yeah, I'd be opting for an Urgent Care or Emergency Room.

whkattk said...

That it does.

whkattk said...

I'd say it's not an STD...if he thought that, he'd be at a clinic in a heartbeat.

whkattk said...

Exactly!

I've only had one get bad enough I couldn't cum. My wife insisted I go see a doctor - she actually made the appt with the urologist.

Would he be engaging in any sex with his wife if he'd been stepping out and thought it was an STD? Are men that stupid?? I guess they are. LOL.
XOXO

100% true. I don't think doctors really care if a man gets an erection. If it happens, it's just proof that the function is fine.

whkattk said...

Yep. That's my real suspicion when it comes to guys and doctor exams of the nether region.

whkattk said...

Me, too. So many doctors over the past 2 decades....
Hugs and bisous.
