Oh, FFS!!!

Morning

Oh, for fuck sake.

I think his brain was circumcised. And Infant Tylenol at a very low dose would be used - only if necessary. Otherwise, it can be extremely dangerous. Whether you agree with the procedure or not, it's still an accepted practice in the U.S. Some due to religious ideology, some due to aesthetics, some due to severe phimosis or paraphimosis, some due to the original idea that it was medically healthy over the long run.

Both the Mayo and Cleveland Clinic indicate that the foreskin retains sexual secretions which can harbor infectious diseases (HIV, HPV, etc). If the area is not cleaned properly, well.... But who goes from a romp and immediately into a shower? No one I've ever known. So, it makes sense.

I've been thinking about the origins for a long time now --- aside from the Jewish and Islamic religions. Let's consider the Christian ideology. How likely is it that one of their basic reasons for circumcision was a means to discourage masturbation?

If a male is not circumcised, the foreskin needs to be drawn back to wash the glans. Guys know washing their dicks can and does lead to an erection. Or at least a semi-erection. It is direct stimulation. The erection can easily lead to masturbation.
Hmmmm....

What do you think, Readers?

I think much of Western Christianity continued the Jewish practice of circumcision "because Jesus did it". Or actually, his Jewish parents did. In the early church, it was determined that non-circumcised converts were welcome without a need for "surgery". My guess is that young parents want a boy "to look like his daddy", and follow whatever the father's dick looks like, cut or natural.

Honestly, the "circumcision prevents HIV" thing involves studies which approach, but never quite reach, statistical significance. Further, many of these studies are prematurely terminated, making them exactly as useful as studies of telepathy which let you start and stop whenever you want. And as an aside, if circumcision prevented HIV, sub-Saharan Africa wouldn't have such an issue with it.

Now, as for the connection to autism, that's just plain wrong.

I'm a 75yo Catholic UNCUT man and never had issues with my foreskin which is well dilated too... I'm a clean man and all what is frigthenning the Americans about it is none sense.
Maybe a lack of sexual education and not enough medical follow up by parents... Your «God» made men with a foreskin for surely lot of good reasons and that masturbation ban by Christian church is very laughable.
My two sons are uncut and never have issues with it. They are now in their 40's and have very good sex lives.
My grand son (13yo) is also uncut nothing of any issues there too.
BTW I'm not attracted to cut dicks because many of them have such disgusting scars and dry gland with wrinkles...

I absolutely agree.

If this all knowing, all wise God created us why did he not just make the penis circumsized from the fetal stage? It is abhorrent that babies are brutalised and have to live with that decision forever. Uncut is king

I was circumcised at age 22 for reasons I won't go into now. When I was younger, my dad told me to wash my head, and showed me how to skin back and wash it. He and I both had long skins, and when we got hard, the skin did not uncover the head. He was very open, especially after my mom died. When we camped out, both of us slept naked, and got up with morning wood. He never hid his from me, and actually, we jacked off together. I hated having to get cut, but it was necessary at the time. He passed before he saw my cut cock, but I still jerk off in his honor.

The problem with your reasoning is that only in U.S. do most Christians advocate circumcision. Christian Europe and Latin America have never gone into that. Before the 20th century, most American men were uncut. This was not being pushed by the churches as much as by the medical establishment--which wants us to pay for an unwarranted procedure. The physicians twice tried to encourage us to have our child circumcised. On the second visit and second decline, after the doc left, the nurse silently gave us a thumbs up before she left. Circumcision only became common in the U.S. beginning with World War I when it was made mandatory for soldier to be cut in order to prevent infection. Thereafter, it became standard procedure in preparation for baby boys to be cut for future national service. Additionally, there is evidence that the medical establishment is lying about the benefits of circumcision for its own profit.

As a man who was cut as an infant, I never had the fun of a 'skin of my own to play with. Fortunately, there are many intact men who are willing to share!
Supposedly, the military was giving out free trim jobs until the VietNam era. Not sure who came up with that idea. I know my dad survived WWII intact...

A spare thought-- the doctor who trimmed me did me all sorts of favors. He left my frenulum intact, and left the skin on my shaft loose enough that I can stroke easily. Thanks, doc!

The fuckin idiot had a lobotomy, forget his brain being circumcised (maybe it is the same thing, lol). Absolute idiot, right along with the orange baboon that America people elected. Pathetic and unfound lies, which his base will eat right up.

My father had to be circumcised for medical reasons when he was about 70 years old. I was circumcised as an infant. After Dad had recovered from his operation, he told me that if he was going to have to undergo the procedure, he would have much preferred to have had the operation as an infant. I never quite got up the nerve to ask him about the difference in sensation before and after. Personally, although I’ve wondered about what it would be like to be intact, I have no complaints. The doctor didn’t make a bad job of it, so there’s plenty of looseness, no bad scarring, etc.

The U.S. is not the only country that practices circumcision without a religious reason. Most people forget that Islam practices it as well as half of the indigenous peoples on earth. Even in ancient Egypt. After 55 years as an athlete showering with 1000's of naked guys around the country, I find the foreskin to be disgusting.

If men want or need to get cut (for medical, aesthetic or other reasons) then go for it, but it's not fair to inflict it on a non-consenting child. I also don't understand this belief that uncut dicks are inherently dirty or unhealthy or spread disease. We wash every other part of our body, why is washing our dick such a deal breaker? We don't tear our teeth out because they need daily cleaning. Yes, teeth are useful but so are foreskins. And as for the disease bit, well most men on this planet (outside of the usa) are uncut and we are not all ridden with diseases. And the ones that are probably didn't get diseased because they had a 'skin.

For me, it is more the aesthetics. I like the looks of a circumcised penis more.

nakedswimmer said...

Most of us don't recommend circumcision?

nakedswimmer said...

Half the indigenous peoples of the earth may be a bit of an exaggeration. In Asia, it's almost always tied to Islam. In Africa, it's common, but circumcision advocates will never admit it. And it's common in Australia. But it's nonexistent in Europe or the Americas, counting indigenous peoples exclusively.

I expect your Dad was circumcised under anaesthetic: that was not the way infant males were (and probably still are) circumcised, which was being strapped into a frame so they couldn't move and then having the circumcision without any anaesthetic, leading to terrible screams and lapsing into exhaustion from the trauma. They thought the infant wouldn't remember, but I am sure a trauma of that magnitude would be recorded somewhere in the infant brain with consequences. I doubt your Dad would want to experience that level of trauma voluntarily.

Islam practices it on boys not infants, before puberty but often around 6 or 7 I believe.
