Oh, FFS!!!

Morning

Oh, for fuck sake.

I think his brain was circumcised. And Infant Tylenol at a very low dose would be used - only if necessary. Otherwise, it can be extremely dangerous. Whether you agree with the procedure or not, it's still an accepted practice in the U.S. Some due to religious ideology, some due to aesthetics, some due to severe phimosis or paraphimosis, some due to the original idea that it was medically healthy over the long run.

Both the Mayo and Cleveland Clinic indicate that the foreskin retains sexual secretions which can harbor infectious diseases (HIV, HPV, etc). If the area is not cleaned properly, well.... But who goes from a romp and immediately into a shower? No one I've ever known. So, it makes sense.

I've been thinking about the origins for a long time now --- aside from the Jewish and Islamic religions. Let's consider the Christian ideology. How likely is it that one of their basic reasons for circumcision was a means to discourage masturbation?

If a male is not circumcised, the foreskin needs to be drawn back to wash the glans. Guys know washing their dicks can and does lead to an erection. Or at least a semi-erection. It is direct stimulation. The erection can easily lead to masturbation.
Hmmmm....

What do you think, Readers?

Truth Is Stranger

"This has to be in the category of You Can't Make This Up. When my dad introduced me to his gf and her son it was like looking in the mirror. Come to find out my dad was in college he sold sperm to make extra money. So we're actually halfbrothers. Now we share a bedroom and the only way to tell us apart is I'm cut and he's not. I never seen a foreskin before and asked him if I could touch it. He started to get a boner and that fascinated me even more. Before we knew both our dicks were hard and we ended sucking each other off. He wants to make it so we are perfectly alike and the only way to do it is for him to get circumsized. How does a dick heal up after that do they put stitches on it?"

Well, you're right. That belongs in Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction. But how strongly does he feel about getting circumcised? I'd urge him to not follow through on that because he's doing it for esthetics (for looks). If there was a real medical situation, it'd be different.

The foreskin is loaded with nerve endings. Not to mention it's there to help keep the cockhead soft and supple.

But to answer your question, yes. The remaining skin is stitched together to close the wound.

According to MedicinePlus.gov:

"The foreskin is removed and stitched onto the remaining skin of the penis. Stitches that dissolve are used to close the wound. They will be absorbed by the body within 7 to 10 days. The wound may take up to 3 weeks to heal."

Urge him to keep his cock exactly as it is.

Differing Opinions

The differing opinions on circumcision can become quite heated. Which is why I generally shy away from posts on the topic. In last week's post, Muscle or Organ, a study was cited by the author of the article I quoted. Two Faithful Readers disagreed. One chastised me for even quoting that [portion of the] article, the other sent in the following rebuttal: Anatomy of the Penis: Penile and Foreskin Neurology done by Ken McGrath, who, given his credentials, would know what he's talking about.

Make no mistake, I appreciate all the comments and emails I get. Each and every one brings value to the proverbial table.

Whatever your own situation, I hope you have learned to care for and enjoy what you've got.
