More Science

More updated science from the medical community.

What determines how much a guy cums and how far it shoots?

Age, for one. The younger we are, the larger the volume in each ejaculation --- and the more force behind each spurt.

But age doesn't have to be the end of those satisfying orgasms. As I've been saying for years: Regular Kegel exercises can help increase the force when you cum. Time lapses between sexual activity can help increase the volume. Length of arousal can help improve both volume and velocity.

Medical News Today says,

"The International Society for Sexual Medicine suggest males expel, on average, 1.25 to 5 ml of semen each time they ejaculate. This is roughly 1/4 to 1 teaspoon.

The volume a person ejaculates can affect how far it travels. Larger volumes may also create the illusion that ejaculate travels farther than it does. For most people, semen may travel up to a few feet."

Take your time. Don't be in a big rush.

Healthline says,

"On average, around a teaspoon’s worth, but there are a few things that affect this. Factors like smoking, diet, genetics, and overall health can impact semen volume. If a person with a penis goes a few days without sex, they’re likely to ejaculate more. Age is another big factor.

Fun fact: Those with penises produce the most semen in their early 30s."

And, of course,
"practice makes perfect."

What else do you have to do with your weekend?

Post Surgery Inches

"I'm scheduled for prostate surgery and read that a guy loses length with it. Mine is average right now does that mean I end up with a micro dick?"

Anything under 2" (erect) is considered a micro penis by the medical community.

Well, according to what I've found, you may lose length, you may not. According to the article "Does Penis Size Change After Prostate Surgery" posted on verywellhealth, there are many types of prostate surgery and many do not cause a shortening. It will depend on the type of surgery. And the size of the prostate.

The size of the prostate will also have an effect of the volume of ejaculate after surgery. The prostate does not make up the bulk of ejaculate, as was once thought to be the case, but removal will cause a noticeable difference.

Further investigation reveals that, according to a paper published by BMC Urology, phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor, or PDE5i, administered post-operative found that 62% of the participants recovered full pre-operative penile length.

Regardless of whether you lose inches or not, the thing to focus on --- besides becoming cancer-free --- is whether you are able to use and enjoy your cock after recovery.
To assist in enjoyment after my brother underwent surgery, a sex therapist and his urologist both schooled him on how to (at least initially) assist the hardness by grasping the very base of the shaft. Much like this guy is doing.

The let up on the pressure as you are about to cum.

I hope your surgery goes well and you have a full recovery. Of size and use.

Strive for That

Wow! So many comments and emails wishing me speedy solutions to the eye problem and better days ahead, and thanking me for the blog. That sure puts a lump in the old throat.

Comments and emails are actually what keep this blog going. The questions, the anecdotes, that folks send in, the generous advice you all proffer to others is amazing. You, my Faithful Readers, are amazing! Without you the blog would've fallen silent a long time ago. Thank you all so very much.

"Keep all that good stuff cumming man.  Its important to most guys!!!  Tell us about your jacking routines, when you do it, how often you do it and more about the pleasure you get when you do it.
        Thanx           Dave"
I try to follow my doctor's orders. Upon diagnosing a severe prostate infection, my own Urologist told me I needed to masturbate in addition to any partner sex. So, I manage at least twice per week. Since the Muscular Dystrophy struck, it's not always easy to accomplish because it's not easy to get or maintain an erection. It's possible to cum without a full hard-on, but it takes more than a bit of effort. It requires time, so it's typically in the afternoon when I have the house to myself (though my wife is fully aware of it and never complains).

When I do get a good, solid boner it's really enjoyable, and I'll stretch out the session as long as possible with what some guys call "mindful masturbation;" total concentration on the sensations. It's during those times when the ejaculation will be reminiscent of younger days; more powerful and satisfying.

If you think on it, an increased volume of semen and a higher velocity when it shoots out the more satisfying the orgasm. Thus, my equation V(v).
I encourage all guys to strive for that.

More is Better

What better time than Masturbation Month to reexamine one of the things that men chase when it comes to cum.
2
More is better.
3
Some people (women, for the most part) probably think we're greedy bastards, but the more the volume, the more velocity (my formula of v(V) comes to bear) the more complete an ejaculation feels.

So, how does one increase the volume of semen? There have been no scientific studies, yet reports continue to surface from men who have found certain food and vitamins change their semen.
4
Science does tell us that Zinc is an important component. So are magnesium and selenium. Foods that contain these nutrients are oysters, red meats, nuts, pumpkin seeds, and...celery. Men are saying that after a few days of consuming the equivalent of 1 cup of raw celery each day increases the volume of their ejaculate.

While arousal level plays a large part in the velocity,
9
and the length of time aroused plays a part in volume,
10
give the celery trick a try and see what happens. You've got nothing to lose, celery is good for you in many ways. And you've got everything to gain.

Anyone care to conduct this experiment and report results?
