Normal & Good & Right?

It will not be an Amazon Blackout Day for us. We don't buy much online these days --- we prefer to buy from local businesses, which need help to remain viable through this economic quagmire of Tariff wars. I mean, Bezos, et al can spend their money in any way they see fit. But so can I, and they can do it without mine.

But worse than a volatile stock market are the reports about cuts to the VA.

Don't listen to what they say, watch what they do.

AP: "US Plans to Cut 80,000 employees" Thank the goddess there has been a reversal on canceling some contracts, which included sterilization of surgical tools, and testing of radiology equipment. 

'Course, we Vets are "suckers and losers," so it doesn't matter, right?

But the most egregious thing that has happened recently is the Virginia campus listed for sale. It turned out to be a CIA Ops site: "A Sensitive Complex Housing a CIA Facility..."  Outing a national security operation because you're too intent on creating as much chaos as possible, as quickly as possible.

Don't listen to what they say, watch what they do.

I may have mentioned in the past that my 9+ years were spent in Military Intelligence, working in a SCIF. That work was an effort to thwart the USSR and other authoritarian/dictator governments. Now, here we are with the current administration cutting off the sharing of intelligence with Ukraine and NATO allies. Ostensibly as a "negotiating tool" to end the Russian aggression against Ukraine. Oh, that's really going to help, isn't it? Yes, it will. It'll help Putin and Russia further their expansionist efforts.

Is all this chaos normal and good and right? I guess it is --- for some people.
