Not At All

Morning

I never watched the late-night talk shows after Johnny Carson retired, so it's not like I'll miss them. But when Colbert was informed his show would not be renewed, The Felon said, "I absolutely love that Colbert was fired. Kimmel will be next."

I wonder how he knew? Some folks think it's all about First Amendment rights. Not at all.

Colbert's happened because CBS was waiting for FCC approval for a merger. Kimmel is because ABC is waiting for FCC approval to gobble up a bunch of local affiliate stations. Upon hearing of Kimmel's firing, Trump posted, "That leaves Jimmy [Fallon] and Seth [Meyers], two total losers on Fake News NBC. ... Do it NBC!!!"

Just follow the money.

Have a wonderful Thursday.

Useless Trivia Information

Morning

Inquiring minds want to know. Well, this mind did, anyway.

Early on in the life of this blog, I wondered: since the first period of menstruation is called menarche, was there an equivalent for a guy's first ejaculation. I didn't find anything, so I came up with ejacuarche.

Well, lo! and behold! now we have semenarche, or spermarche. Take your pick.

See the Wikipaedia entry here: Spermarche

The first occurrence I found of the term was in April 1993, by Alfred A Adegoke's report,  Journal of Youth and Adolescence; long before the "everything is on the internet" era.

Whether it's via a wet dream or masturbation or a sexual encounter doesn't matter. It's not the way it happens, it's that it happens.

This has been a PSA to increase your useless male anatomy knowledge. Or for your next trivia game. 😁

How Is It?

Good morning.

"How is you know so much about dick?"

Uh...maybe because I have one. Growing up in a household where it was never, ever discussed is not helpful when things start to wake. If it hadn't been for my older brother, I would have been absolutely clueless.

Consequently, I made the commitment to educate myself. Then, when my buddy decided to write a play, I helped him with all the research. I can tell you, we learned a lot. I mean, a lot!

Guys should know as much about about those dangling bits as possible.

When things go a bit awry, it helps to have some knowledge. It can save them an awful lot of anxiety.
