"Had a meeting with my son's coach and he's got a bowl of condoms on the corner of his desk. Some parents are starting to grumble. What's your take?"

Oh, yeah, we've heard these stories, haven't we? The parents who think it's giving permission or promoting sex. And, "who's paying for them" is another big concern.

I think it's a bit like walking a tightrope. But here's the thing: Once they've become sexually active, are they going to stop? No. Just like when they start jacking off, they aren't going to stop just because someone tells them they shouldn't.

They may as well be safe. Safe from unwanted pregnancy and safe from STIs.

Maybe the coach should put that bowl in a file cabinet or desk drawer. Still accessible, but not "in your face" obvious that they're there and free for the taking.

Straight but Curious

 

Good morning.

"I'm a straight single guy and never been in a committed relationship. I'm dating a woman for the last month or so but there's a small problem. I turn 30 this year and before there's any commitment I want to know what sex would be like with a guy. I have this fantasy of sucking a guys dick. Two questions, I guess. Do I have to tell this woman before I do it and do I have to tell any potential hookup that I'm straight but curious?"

If you are not in a committed relationship with this woman, I wouldn't think you have to divulge your hook-up. If you find you enjoy M-M sex, but you still want to move forward in the relationship with her, then it might be a good idea to tell her.

Do you have to tell a potential hook-up you're straight and curious? I wouldn't think so. Just don't get started and then quit in the middle of something. Yes, absolutely, people can change their minds, and no means no. But, just remember what it was like when a girl or woman got you aroused and then left you with a bad case of blue balls.

Seriously, it's not cool.

Good morning.

"You claim your blog is supposed to be for even us straights but you post nothing naked dudes."

The reason is threefold.

1. I use photos to illustrate the text - you do read the text, don't you?

2. The blog is to bring health and or function issues to light. Gays, straights, bis, and even women visit the blog and send in questions. The photos enhance the text.

3. The other purpose of the blog is help men change their attitude: No reason to feel ashamed of what we were born with. No reason to be embarrassed by its function. No reason to hide that we can (and do) derive self-pleasure. No reason to deny the variety of sexual orientation.

I hope that sufficiently explains it for you.
