Every once in a while I get an email taking me to task and posing questions about a post. I appreciate them as much as the praise, and try my best to ensure my readers get the whole story. Health is foremost. Always.

Faithful reader moochie has concerns about the Sound Wave therapy. He's done his research, and his points are valid. Educate yourself before running off to the 

nearest clinic.

Note: I've truncated his email to what I hope are the major points.

"I take exception to your declaration that sound therapy is safe and with no effects in the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

I read the Mens Health article and delved deeply into this therapy regime and found that the sound wave equipment is NOT FDA approved for use in erectile dysfunction (ED). [This is considered using a medication or therapy "off-brand" and that should always be a consideration.] .... One such person offering these services near me claims to be an MD but has no license nor is he registered anywhere as being an MD. Then is there a possibility of a blood clot as a result of the sound waves(?) Should men on blood thinners be permitted to undergo this treatment? Heart conditions? High or low Blood pressure patients? ... Further research showed this treatment has to be repeated, it does not permanently resolve the issue in one treatment. What is the effect over a prolonged period?"
