Watched Civil War over the weekend.
A fictional outcome of the upcoming election. I hope we manage to overcome the shenanigans being perpetrated; the "engineered violence" with the eating of pets in Springfield, Ohio (a conspiracy theory deliberately started to incite the MAGA base); a second [staged] "assassination attempt" to garner sympathy and votes (maybe I've become to cynical to think otherwise); the rigging of election laws and committees. Perhaps then we can avoid what happens in the film.

I am surprised that more media is not covering the interview with Vance about the Springfield lies. His response was essentially "If promoting a fake story is going to help my narrative, I am going to keep doing it!".
The GOP are nothing except fucking assholes.
But on a bright note - seems that local police and the Secret Service are not having a problem getting into the exacting details about where the MAGA gun nuts got it wrong. From Sunday's ABC World News:
“The gun was too high and visible through the fence… school backpacks with clay tiles [for shielding] were just [hanging from] the fencing. Had the gun been lower the gunman would have been within 100 yards and had a clear target. …the golf course he likes to play is nearly impossible for Secret Service to secure. …[there is ] one agent assigned scout ahead of the hole he’s playing…”.

I don't think I could deal with that movie. I'll take these chuckles instead.
The shooter sounds like just the type of dimwit who would agree to this kind of campaign craziness.

Only one scene was truly...disturbing. It has a Trump-like guy as President who started the war by bombing a BLM / Antifa march. But it does end well for the good guys killing the president up close and personal in the Oval Office.
Well, we now know Vance is dumb enough to admit believing in Plato's noble lie. He may even be dumber than the former guy.
Regarding the slang terms for penis, I think in 1811 they were on to something (or perhaps predicting the future).
Oh, both Vance the Couch Fucker and DonOld are lying 24/7.
The 'assassination attempt'? As staged as the 'first' one. Nothing makes sense. I see Jim Jones inspiring that. Because THAT changed the convo to the fuckery and not Cheeto's senility and his incapacity to utter three coherent sentences.
And I have to watch that movie now...
