Faithful reader Jean asked in a comment, how common it is for men to end up in the Emergency Room due to improper use of cock rings. The answer may surprise you. Then again, maybe not.
According to eDrugstore the number of cases is rising. There was an 677% increase in reported injuries between 2012 and 2019. I can guess the pandemic statistics will see another bump as guys spent their isolated time at home masturbating.
Not that there's anything wrong with jacking off. But men obviously need to be educated about the different types of cock rings and how to use them safely. Bed Bible offers the following: 6 of the best ED rings: Do they work?. The silicone and adjustable leather snap are much safer than the metal.
Whether using them as jewelry,
to enhance those bulges,
or sustain boners,
use them with all due caution. Having the tissue of the Cavernosae die off with permanent damage to the cock would make hard-ons a thing of your past.

Very good advice!
bad ring!!!
An 677% increase in reported injuries between 2012 and 2019, it's appalling. Covid or not, all the more that Covid begun in 2020.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
They really do look so unforgiving, especially the metal ones. I suspect for everyone who's ended up with "reported injuries" there's probably 100 that have suffered in silence, with promises never to try one again.
And they've probably been around for thousands of years. Hugs and bisous.
Excellent advice as always! Personally, I have never liked the metal rings.
Oh, what fun!
I think a good way to look at it is "if it's a struggle to get it on, it'll be more of a struggle to get it off when you're hard!"

Thank you for sharing this. More and more... and I have been a long time user... I find them sexy... I am thinking they are rather dangerous and a very bad idea. I'm getting rid of all of mine... including the expandable rubber ones I bought. The damage done is just not worth the excitement of wearing them.
Where does one find the cock jewelry that clamps just behind the head, similar to a toe ring, but for the dick? Does anyone know the history of cock rings?
Glad to learn that about non-metal rings.

Interesting. And once it played out in my favor. A friend, who at the time was just that, was staying with me. Late one night he called out in pain and when I went to check he’d jerked offs with a cock ring and now his boner wouldn’t go down. I grabbed a ziplock full of ice from the freezer and used it to cool down his boner, and release the ring. As we were finishing dinner the next night I suggested that instead of using his cock ring, I could help out. Since then we have been great jerk-off buddies.
@ Hooter - There's an Etsy store. Go to Etsy - type Glans Ring into the search field. Another good place: Gear Essentials.com
The fancy stuff: TheChainGang.com
@ Jean - There are a lot of men who are too embarrassed to seek medical assistance. Personally, seems to me suffering some embarrassment would be preferable to the alternative.
@ Paul - You proved your worth as a friend the minute you grabbed that baggie of ice.
I have a neoprene ring that I use sometimes. The instructions say to use it no longer than 30 minutes so I'm always mindful of the time.
Ok, so I did not comment on this?
Leather ones with several settings are the best. You snap them the second you feel you're coming and it's heaven. And I wear mine as a bracelet. You should see the looks I've gotten in some bars... LOL
XOXO
I don't know if I'm properly sized for my metal ring. When I attempted to wear it as decoration, I can slip out of it. If I put it on and get erect, it seems to stay in place. Not sure it can keep me hard against all odds like a wandering mind or distractions. Does that seem like a proper fit?
